There's a broadsheet article on the top 10 dumpling places in Melbourne, and this place does food of such a high quality that it would place above 7 of the 10 with ease, and compete heavily with the last 3.
The vegetarian dumplings are by far the best on the menu. Given my love for both meat of all kinds and szechuan spice, this is the highest compliment I could possibly pay to any vegetarian dumplings ever.
Standard fried pork potstickers are delicious and simple. Pulled pork pie was an unusual idea executed extremely well and good to share between two.
Stir fried noodles were also exceptional - fresh and bright, and the right balance of texture and taste that are just better than the usual plastic container of slightly oily overdrenched noodles we all imagine.
Seems to suggest $35pp online, but we got 6 dishes + 1 dessert for $56 and were rolling around the floor stuffed, so you could do it for $25-30 pretty comfortably if you pick well.
Order on a weeknight if you don't want to wait an hour. Clearly other people know how...

Upon pickup they seemed to get my meal and put it together from a bain-marie full of prepackaged food that presented that it had been there for a while, and I wasn’t wrong. I ordered spring rolls, Szechuan Chicken and fried rice. For the privilege I paid $36 and received beef and rice, no spring rolls. And upon review the price I was charged didn’t align to any costings on the menu… I subsequently received the driest beef and rice I’ve ever experienced it was like cardboard, and cold. The $36 dollar experiment seems to consist of leftovers from previous days, heated by a lamp, it was inedible, it went in the bin....
Read moreGreat new addition to the neighbourhood. Clean and fresh Chinese food. Special fried rice was fantastic, unique twist and l Healthy tasting even. Pan fried veggie dumplings were some of the best I've ever tried. Steamed beef was really nice and also unique fresh flavours.
Most disappointing was the mixed Asian veggies main - just steamed and lightly wok fried plain veggies. Very bland and poor value for money.
Peanut butter dessert was ok but wouldn't go back for that. Just deep fried mini pastry with peanut butter.
Overall will go back for dumplings and try some of the other...
