We go to the RSL club every Friday night for dinner and the raffles, and on Saturday morning again for the meat tray raffles. The dinners are tasty, affordable with specials and Senior meals. The menu is changed regularly and every meal I’ve eaten has been served quickly and is tasty. We’ve made many friends there and we are very pleased to have somewhere to go that’s familiar with a pleasant atmosphere. Of course they have the obligatory pokies which are well enough set aside to not bother us, there are several tv’s showing a variety of different sports, and a well ventilated smoking area. Lovely relaxed RSL. Super friendly fun natured staff, good food, good prices. The veal parma is delicious and great value. The sweet potato fries are pricey at $16 but tasty. The roast of the day was delicious and a good quantity. The chocolate mousse was a nice way to round off dinner. This is good badic every day Aussie food at a warm n friendly RSL. We liked it was not noisy at all. Even a few young couples with babies were there and it was not noisy for them. They cater for kids. Never been here before but friend playing gig here on Australia Day so went and wow what a great time! Joshua played 3.5 hours of Aussie hits and the crowd at Highett RSL loved him! So much so he was asked to extend his set. The venue has dining area, bar, pokies area and an area to follow the horse-racing. Now gambling isn't my thing but drinking Proseccos, eating salt n vinegar chips and listening to classic Aussie music is!
