Edit: 12/12/2023: Still one of the most expensive Indian grocers in the vicinity. I purchased 3 items recently (Dec' 23) and they costed $56, which I thought was a lot for those three. Once I reached home, I found another grocer with an online store to compare the prices and those 3 exact same items at that grocer would have costed me $38. I only go to this store out of necessity when I am in rush as this store is the one nearest to where I live. Original Review:
This was my go to store for quite some time and I loved interacting with the shop owner but now during COVID times, I have noticed that some of the prices have gone up significantly. E.g. I was able to buy 20 Kgs of rice over $20 dollars cheaper elsewhere. I also noticed that some other commodities like paneer also had ridiculous price increase here.
Initially I thought that the supplier might have increased the prices because of many factors impacted by COVID but then when I looked at other stores, they were still much cheaper compared with this store so looks like that this store decided to make use of "price gouging" practices.
