Subway Altona North - horrible experience. We did an online order to pick up, Stephen arrived - in his work uniform - to pick up our order and was told to wait over there for menu log deliveries. He told them it wasn't menulog, it was an online order and was told nothing had come through, but then one staff member said she saw it - so after waiting for them to serve around 4-5 other customers, they finally made our order - WRONG - no beetroot on mine, wholemeal bread instead of white, and Stephen's order didn't click through when he made the changes - no apology, no free cookie, nothing. But next time they will get it right. I don't know when they have ever got my order right - EVER. I thought by doing an online order they would see it in front of them - but they didn't ever see the order. Bad form Subway. I ordered through the app, came and picked up my sub and returned home. When I returned home, they had put no meat at all in my sub. So I drove back.
When I returned, I asked if they could make a new sub because my sandwich is toasted and just adding the meat on top would not be the same. The lady then proceeded to add the meat to the existing sub and put the entire sub in the toaster oven. I caught her doing this and asked her to please not toast the entire sandwich because there is salad in it. They said OK and I went to sit down and as soon as I turned away she continued to heat up the entire sandwich, salad and all!

Read moreWill not honour current promotions that are advertised IN THEIR OWN WINDOW. Having to argue with someone over the cost of my order does not make for a great start to my day. I'm not going in there to haggle with their prices. For the sake of the extra $2 I paid (as I was not in the mood to go into a ridiculous argument over it) was worth the loss of future business from me.
Would love to say this is an isolated incident from Subway franchises in general, unfortunately, it isn't. As a customer, your experience at their restaurants is not based on the food or anything like that, its based on the attitude of the particular owner/franchisee/staff member at the time and in my experience, that's been very hit and miss.
