I absolutely love Ladybird Organics! I've been shopping here regularly since the COVID times and now that things are getting better, I'm thrilled to be supporting local businesses by going back. The shop offers a wide selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, grains, and pretty much everything you can think of – it's like a little supermarket. I enjoy coming here every 1-2 weeks to get my dose of fresh veggies and fruits.
One of my favorite sections is the dry fruits and grain stand. I appreciate that there's no minimum weight requirement, so I can try new things without having to commit to a large quantity. The bread section also impresses me with its diverse range, including gluten-free options. They even sell vitamins, other food items, and local honey. The store is so well-organized that I can do my weekly shopping in just 10-15 minutes.
I've had wonderful interactions with the staff, including the two young ladies and the gentlemen. They have always been very nice and helpful. However, I do have one small disappointment – the coconut juice. It's a tradition for my toddler to have one every time we shop, but the paper straws provided are of poor quality and tend to break. It's frustrating, especially considering the price of $7. I will try bringing my own proper straw next time.
On rare occasions, I have noticed that they sell non-organic fruits and vegetables, which is clearly labeled. I guess I have a habit of grabbing everything without thinking, so I only realize this once I'm back home and look at the receipt.
Thank you so much, Ladybird Organics team! I truly appreciate the effort you put into providing such a great...
Read moreOn Sunday, I went to this store, as I have for at least the last five years. I’ve always found the employees to be beautiful, attentive, and super-friendly. Unfortunately, this Sunday was different. An older man, who I presume is the owner (I’d never seen him there before), approached me very rudely. My toddler was looking at the baby cups and cutlery (which are displayed right at her height), while I was doing what this man probably forgets to appreciate: buying my groceries. When my daughter caught up with me, this man came out from the back room and said, “You should watch your daughter next time,” visibly upset because she had left a few items out of place. I immediately sensed his annoyance and went back to apologise, even offering to organise the shelves. His reply was, “All good.” I told him it clearly wasn’t all good, otherwise he wouldn’t be angry. His response? “Just do your job.” I found this absolutely disgusting and inconsiderate. This review is directed more to the wonderful staff of this beautiful store: please don’t allow people to work among you who have no idea who is actually feeding...
Read moreI love this little shop, and am delighted to have it in my neighborhood. I stop in here at least twice a week. Most of the products at Ladybird are excellent, and the people are so nice. The biodynamic milk tastes far better than what you get in a supermarket, and the nuts, fruit, etc are fresh. Try the frozen burritos - they're better that a lot of mexican food you get in Australian restaurants. This week the monstrously-huge lemons and in-season apples were outstanding. The selection is not huge, but it's well-curated and there are more products added every time I visit. Feel free to ask the staff if they can order products in for you. If they can make it work, they will. I hope Ladybird continues to grow. Moonee Ponds needs more quality food...
