I started off with an introductory offer for 2 weeks and it changed my entire perspective of yoga. I used to think yoga was just about flexibility until I found later that it requires a lot of body awareness and strength. I then signed up for the 6 weeks beginner course because I wanted to learn more about the foundation of each pose and how to do them properly rather than just following through what I see in class. I find it so helpful because I can put them into practice and have a safe progressing journey with actual benefits and not injuring myself because of doing the pose wrong. Instructors are absolutely engaging and they're the main reason I'm looking forward to coming back to the studio. Kelly, especially is a sweetheart. Her cues are very clear and she would always demonstrate in class. She would also walk around during class to allign your body, which I find really important for muscle memory and knowing which muscle to activate for a pose. She's definitely one of the reasons why i am drawn to Little Mandarin studio. Despite that, the current membership options are a lil steep at the moment for what the physical studio is offering (shared building toilet with no shower) so I am really looking forward to their new studio to be launched and hopefully along with more affordable options for students like me. On top of that, it'd be nice if there are more classes available that cater to a 9-5 work schedule, for example 7am or 6.30pm yoga . Highly recommend to come and try out! Read moreI have been lucky that my yoga journey started at the beautiful nourishing Little Mandarin Studio. It is always a pleasure walk into the peaceful oasis in the visually stunning and very clean yoga room at Little Mandarin.
I was practicing yoga and it gave me lovely benefits, however I knew that I needed to take a step up and learn the fundamentals. I needed to know the proper basics of how to do each move. So in came a workshop “ The Building Blocks” at Little Mandarin.
The course itself was a perfect way to stop and really learn . My fellow students were lovely and varied in yoga experience (some had never done it and others had). Our inspiring sweet gorgeous talented teacher Kelly Foong was superb in passing the knowledge to us, and helping each person gain an acute understanding of the moves. It was a welcoming supportive environment to learn yoga with no judgement.
The end result for me was confidence. I gained confidence that I was doing the moves like for e.g. “ Down Dog “ or “Chaturanga” more correctly therefore after class I felt more complete. It is good to learn properly (whether that is yoga or what ever else you’re in to). The reason being is if you learn it properly you will gain more benefits. In the case of yoga the benefits are endless; flexibility, better concentration, strength, increased fitness, better health, calm focused state of mind and most of all fun.

Read moreI had my yoga experiences with both Kelly and Green. I admire the interpersonal engagement the instructors have with their students; i.e. how they would assess the strengths and weaknesses of each student and provide both verbal and hands-on assistance accordingly. This especially, is what makes LM stand out from other studios. Also, the instructors are so invested in what they’re doing and always willing to help, in a way that they encourage students to ask questions after class to ensure continuous progress. Another positive aspect is that my gf is a regular member of LM and she had given several feedbacks which were taken very seriously by LM. By that I mean, they put in the effort to assess those feedbacks and work towards improving the studio overall e.g. Introducing more morning classes, pushing all 5.30 classes to 5.45 to better suit office schedule, introducing new affordable rates to cater students etc. Despite all the above, the studio’s environment could be improved to make it more zen in aspects such as introducing warm lightings, have better ventilation to circulate the studio air to reduce...
