ONE PLANET Shop — Attraction in Melbourne

Customer service is lacking. Older lady working on the 22nd of April at 4pm seemed uninterested and standoffish. The two employees were having a conversation between themselves the entire time I was looking for a product. Did not once offer help - let alone greet any customer entering the store. Once I grabbed the item I wanted to purchase, I brought it up to the counter to which the older lady did not even acknowledge. I had to start the conversation with "hello" to which she responded hesitantly. No "thank you", no "see you later", no "have a good day", just a blank stare. What a shame. There are so many other great outdoor brands on this street, would think that the customer service would be - at the very least - competent. Would recommend you just go to Paddy Pallin or Backpacking Light next door, at least you'll be treated like a person...

I have had my One Planet Zipless and Tasman for 14 and 15 years each. The Tasman is OK but mostly because I bought the wrong bag for what I wanted, now it's a great crag bag. But the Zipless is hands down the best back pack ever. I've genuinely used it 85% of those 14 years. Uni: Every day. Travel: every day, work: every day. Day hikes: every time. It comes with me on the motorbike or push bike to work. The canvas keeps everything dry in thunderstorms. The only thing that torn slightly is the velcro for the front pocket but not really necessary and they've upgraded that anyway. There's also a tiny hole on the bottom from sliding down rocks. 10/10 would get another one but don't need it. Hopefully they still make it in...

I work as a bushwalking guide & have used a One Planet pack since I began guiding in 2018. One Planet packs are sturdy, durable & practical packs for hard-use in tough environments.
