Unfortunately i didn't have a good experience here at all and I don't leave bad reviews very often. So firstly I was waiting to be served for ages. The guy working, which I presume was the owner, as his name was Mick had his back to me and was on the computer or phone or something. He did notice that I was there but showed no urgency to come over and serve me. I don't think he really cared. Secondly the showcase looked quite empty and uncared for, The red meat had kind of a grey colour to it and the containers that the sausages were kept in needed a clean, there was also an awful lingering smell. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to go elsewhere. Thirdly i bought my chicken breast and when i got it home it just wasn't fresh, it wasn't far from off. i didn't end up eating it and i live too far away to have taken it back. Read moreHave enjoyed Mickey D's. I've mainly had their sausages and last Saturday morning the chorizo was on sample. Very good! However this afternoon I discovered they do BOEREWORS. This is a South African sausage and after trying Mickey D's, they take their work seriously. Wow! Spicy but not too hot. High content of meat (not sausage) which means it's bona fide. Lovely texture from the coarse ground meat and the spices like rosemary and cardamom. Treat it carefully...look up how to properly cook it. Don't be freaked out by the liquid because this is all part of the result. Thank you Mickey D's - South African recipe in Northcote eaten by a...
