I was selecting two freshly cooked fish pieces from their hot servery and noticed that one of the two pieces available to buy was about half the size of the other piece I wanted. I told the woman serving me that the smaller piece should not be priced the same as the larger piece. She dismissed my suggestion and told me someone else will buy it anyway. She wrapped up the larger piece for me and pushed me for payment rather than listen to my reason that it was unfair to any customer to pay the full cost of a piece that was half the size of another piece. She was not interested. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she was the manager. I asked to speak to the business owner. She said she was the business owner. She was not prepared to be flexible, and was rude in her dismissal of me and her encouragement of me to pay and go. So I gave up, and paid for the single piece I had selected. I told her she was not running a fair business. I later lodged a complaint with the management at Barkly Centre centre. I have shopped at the Seafood Paradise for decades, with no problem at all. I will continue to do so, but will not be served by her, and I will continue to request flexible pricing if I see a large difference between pieces of hot fish. First of all a great idea for a shop that probably used to only sell fresh fish now having an area to serve the most delicious fish and chips. Everything was fresh and delicious. Very good grilled and fried fish (we had both), good portions, freshness and the best customer service.
