I was in a rush and grabbed 2 bags of potatoes and the next day when I opened them they were gone rotten and smelt horrible and the juice of the potatoes was all over the floor. I went to return them however they were closed so I went 3 days later when I was free and off work however they refused to accept that the potatoes were bad and blamed me instead and started insulting me saying that I was lying and I should have come the day the I saw the potatoes were bad but they were closed and I was busy with work. They told me if I wanted a refund I should go shop with woolworth and said that I was lying about the potatoes being bad when they could see the juice leaking from the potatoes.

Reply to shopkeeper as below-- .I bought them in a rush therefore I did not check the state they were in however when I got home I saw that the potatoes started leaking liquid and when I did get time off work (I work 7 days a week) I came to the store and it was closed. I came once again and talked to the owner and he and she both shopkeepers refused to refund, blaming me saying "you must have stored them badly" they should not be going bad within 5 days unless they were already close to going bad, and as you can see now they are refusing to admit that the potatoes were even from they store, I have the receipt proving it is from there store I even bought it back sealed. What would I get from going back to the store in my free time and lying..? I have no reason to lie. The potatoes were from they store and were in a bad state. It’s really sad for me to write this but they need to train their staff, my father and family went there to buy some fruits. When we got to the check out this girl with the adidas shirt, couple of bracelet (one long red bracelet that was red in the middle) was extremely rude to us, she didn’t smile or anything. One of my family member brought a little bit of dates that was 0.180g but when we paid for it, IT WAS FREAKING 10 dollars and on the paper it said 4g. There was only a little bit in the bag and plus when we found we were freaking near the dam girl and she started arguing with us saying that we must have putted it somewhere, girl there was only four people and we were there for a minute looking at them, there is no way someone can eat dates that fast. They need to train their staff how to be nice and not rude because she was just threw the fork to one of my family member and told him to just pick them out, she looked very unhappy with her work and annoyed that we came through her checkout. Some staff were also offhanded and they all looked like they hated their jobs or someone because they all looked like they were tired or angry.

One of the family member did eat one of the dates but he felt bad because he thought it was free so we had to buy some, so that when she threw the little fork at us. We are locals who have been shopping in Sunshine for 6 years. The fruit and vegetables are very poor quality. I'd say they are 2nd or 3rd grade quality. example: Bought a 5kg sack of potatoes, the ones on the inside were all rotten. Fish and seafood is definitely not fresh. I bought muscles there and were told they were very fresh. When I got home and opened the wrapping, they stunk and only 3 out of the whole bag sunk in a pot of water. Which meant the whole bag was rotten.

Girls at the butcher are extremely rude. I've walked away from them when they were rude, but decided to try them again after 6 months and was met with exactly the same attitude. 2023: UPDATE Recently started shopping here again in 2023. Still the same poor quality. Fruit like apples have this strange residue on them. you can clearly tell when you wash them in a white bowl and compare them to other shops. They also have someone checking bags which is understandable but they are selective and let people they deem OK to pass while making others stop and take all their stuff out. This is despite you already showing your bags to the lady's at the checkout. After giving this place many chances I give up. Suggest you go to Gasko's just a few blocks away.
