rebel Darwin — Local services in Millner

Bought in store the Pure Design AB10X Air Bike had missing parts and had scratches(it came like that) while I was trying assembly it . When opening the box it look like someone already opened it(speculation). Came in the store to see what they could do but nothing. Manager said only thing I can do is either give your money back or replace it give the display model(basically second hand).

Tried asking the manager if I could get a small refund(discount) said he couldn’t. Like mate you charge people like $199.99 for delivery. From what I’ve seen in the website even though it’s says delivery free for my item. So trying to return it to the store is like another $199.99. It already took a lot of effort to get into my house, I’m not that strong.

Also believe I heard the manager said this happened sometime. So I’m leaning more towards that the item I bought was a returned item that someone previously bought.

Lucky found alternative solution going to Bunnings to buy my missing parts. Than returning which would take more effort than buying the missing parts. Just going have deal with looking at scratches.

And I don’t think the manager even apologised, if felt he didn’t care and only said stuff which he was obliged to say to a customer.Well I was angry in my mind, but outside was trying to keep calm. This may or may not have happened.

I believe the manager could have offered like disassemble the display and give the parts I’m missing and give it to me or I could give the missing part in possession(screws, bolts and locknut etc) and he could give me all the part required to assemble the machine so he can be free of mind knowing that I have everything I need and should of got in box than suggesting returning the item and exchanging it for second hand product or a refund

This may or may not the managers fault but this product is $1799 which is a a lot of money. Well he did blamed the manufacturers but packaging say other wise because it did not look like manufacturer was the one packaged it. Unfortunately this is my first time purchasing a product at rebel, so can not be 100% sure.

This is me ranting to relieve some stress being frustrated how the outcome of the machine I bought...

Your store has excellent staff. I never feel like I have to wander around in confusion, because someone is always ready and willing to assist. Customer service is the forefront of retail, and I greatly appreciate the effort put into developing people with this as a focus.

I'd like to particularly commend Shaquile who I recently assisted me. She went above and beyond to ensure I was looked after. She took my details so she could contact me later about an item I was chasing, and put it on hold so I wouldn't miss out. Her attentiveness was exceptional (I mentioned I would be away for a week, and I received a call the Monday following my return). Thank you very much for your service, I'll surely be back...
