John's Fresh Fish Mart — Local services in Mirrabooka

Asked for a fresh batch of fish and chips. Told the young lady I’ll be back in 10 min. She handed over a box of stale chips and chewy fish. It was clearly not fresh. Came back and spoke to the lady who served me. She argued that she had cooked it fresh and blamed it on me for coming back 5 minutes later. I told her I have had fresh chips before even being left out for 10 minutes. Chips shouldn’t be this stale. Fish should not be this chewy and dry. She repeated argued to prove her point. I clearly mentioned that I’m happy to pay for a new batch. I’m not here to get a free food. I only wanted to let them know that they gave me a stale batch and told me it’s a fresh batch. Honesty...

Spent $15 on a seafood plate with tartare sauce, only thing I was satisfied with was the sauce. Fish was old and cheap, shame they couldn't use a fresher fish. Squid rings were awful, crab stick was almost hollow and the prawn was clearly cooked earlier that day as it was so cold and disgusting. The chips were a massive surprise to me, because they were so old that they were crunchy as hell with no filling, cold and tasted as if they were double dipped in oil. The lady is so rude today Saturday 3:30 15th December. I will never go back there again. I am picking the nice mussels but refuses and gave me the old looking one. And place the mussels on a plastic she didn’t close and wrap on a paper that got soaked. I asked to for more bag or paper but so rude and she said it’s illegal. I don’t know what she mean by that. She said only for fish. I will never go back there again. Worst customer service...
