we just loved this....it was totally sheltered ....basically a natural shallow ocean pool...surrounded by rocks..some submerged but no real danger .we played with young kids in the water for hours....we played shark. lobster...crawling around in the water with kids climbing all over us...you don't need to be a swimmer to enjoy this as it's pretty shallow in most parts (I think?) so long as an adult is watching you...so much fun...and there's rocks you can climb. ..a beautiful view everywhere you look....it's not a huge area....in fact one super large extended family could take over the whole area.....bring a few chairs to sit on or just lean on a rock or lie on the sand....it was shady on the sand.. take some food along that you can carry for the 5 min walk from the car park...there are no cooking facilities at all....toilets aren't far from the...

Curiously, the name “Bogey Hole” has nothing to do with golf, and comes from the local Aboriginal term for “bathing”. This large tidal pool was probably used by Aboriginal people for centuries or even millennia to trap fish.
The pool is protected by tall rocks, and has an inner area for a relaxing swim, and an outer area for snorkelling.
