It is what it is. A little more expensive than I have had elsewhere, but you don't get anything much more tastier(or even as tasty). The photo below is their Mexican burger (chicken). The breast is grilled but it would be nice if they had have seasoned it a bit. Putting a bit of guacamole and salsa does not a Mexican burger make. Advice... Maybe season it with some taco seasoning and chuck on a few jalapenos and it would be a whole different kettle of fish (or in this case chicken). 😜 It was ok. Potato scallops though were really yummy. I guess the extra you pay for is the view (which is superb). I would have liked a little more flavour ....and the view though. 😁

Absolutely 5 star fish and chips!! We had the hoki, prawn cutlets and chips. The fish was juicy and tender with a very light and tasty batter. The salad was fresh and made up on the spot. The prawn cutlets were extremely tasty and the prices were very fair for such a prime location. The staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. It was nice to see teenagers getting an opportunity and doing a great job. And the location is top notch - with a view of Mollymook beach, nice grassy areas and the esplanade. A real gem - we will definitely be back!

The service was very efficient and the coffees we had were tasty. Considering this establishment requires you to order at the register, the prices were quite steep (more similar to full table service cafes and restaurants). The tables and chairs were cheap and could use an update, but it's understandable they use plastic furniture for ease of cleaning and because all seating is outdoors. The views were absolutely stunning and the food we saw on neighbouring tables looked wholesome and fresh.

The staff of the beach hut cafe were very rude I was standing inside waiting for my food and one of the staff who I thought was just a delivery driver as he was moving in boxes on a moving trolley asked me to move out of his way and I was not standing in his way I was standing in a corner away from the flow of traffic and I said no I am not moving as I was not standing in his way he than continued to be rude and than showed me the sign saying that customers need to wait outside witch he could have said that instead of being rude and expecting me to jump out of his way witch I was not in his way or even close to being in his way I clearly did not see the sign otherwise I would have waited outside I than tried to talk to one of the other staff about how he treated me they than began defending him telling me to talk to him about the problem witch I tried to but he was very defensive and did not care how I felt about how he treated me very poor customer service and I will not be...

I can imagine that this place thrives for two reasons only - no competition nearby and great location. When you have these two - you can serve terrible food and people will queue for it. The music - loud radio with harvey norman advertisements and the 'NUMBER X - YOUR FOOD IS READY" from speakers every couple of minutes. The food - such a shame - even the chips & st & pepper quid were terrible. Fish was dry. There was a slice of a canned pineapple on my plate. Sauces from those terrible little packs. The location has so much potential, it could have fresh fish, fresh chips and some good salads but why bother if people come anyway. What a shame. 2 stars because my boyfriend kindly said that the burger had a nice flavour and because it's almost on the beach. But we will certainly not be coming back. So many great...
