Visited Kebab Door after hearing so much about it. After visiting, I will admit that the whole experience was strange.
Upon arriving, there was approximately 50 customers inside, the single staff member was wrapping kebabs at lightning speed, seriously incredible stuff, i've never seen a man wrap kebabs so fast.
When I ordered, I was told that they had new and improved kebab bread imported directly Mumbai or Turkmenistan (I don't really remember). They told me that this new bread was all the rage back home, so I decided to give it a try.
When I received my Kebab I was shocked to see that it wasn't wrapped up in anything, it was just given to me as shown in the picture. I asked if maybe he had made a mistake, to which he replied; "Are you a kebab master? No, I didn't think so. This is how Kebab is. If you are not happy, you leave." I did not want to question the man, as he truly seemed as if he had a black-belt in Kebab making.
All in all, I think that the kebab was pretty good. It lacked anything I asked for (no lettuce, no onion, no cheese). Although he told me it was new Kebab bread from Uzbekistan, I believe it was a single slice of plain bread from Woolworths (I saw the bag behind the counter). I asked for Sweet Chilli, Garlic and BBQ and instead I got Heinz ketchup and was told it was a super secret recipe passed down from ancient Kebab masters. Again I saw the bottle.
Anyways, was a good feed, definitely...
Read moreI wasn't going to leave a negative review, but i thought maybe just maybe they change their ways, I believe all feedback is good feedback. Firstly, your service is poor, always remember customer is not a distraction to your business, customer is the reason for your business being there. I got the feeling, I was not welcome. Secondly, improve your products, it is not hard to ensure your salads, veggies and meats are fresh and of good quality. Thirdly, clean your store. This store was very nice before, it has now been neglected. Nobody wants to eat from a dirty store.
Edited in response to management's response: Time has shown that "Naming and Shaming" a food business on a platform like this where everybody has access to others' experience has dramatically improved performance of the business where required. Hence, making every feedback good feedback. I will NOT go back in time and keep it confidential between us by contacting you directly as directed by you. You have chosen to take a picture of the floor at entry into your store to discredit me. My problem is the dirtiness of food contact surfaces where food is being prepared. After all, nobody eats off the floor. You need to improve the freshness of your meats and veggies, which you deny. I will never come and eat from your store with an attitude towards food...
Read moreUncooked food. Try to avoid this place. Specially if ordering online. Recently ordered Falafel roll, Chips with Gravy and Vegetarian Pide. Chips came almost uncooked with gravy, had to throw it away. Vegetarian Pide was uncooked completely, literally could taste the dough. This was my last order from this place, and really suggest people not to order specially using online platforms from this place. WORST EXPERIENCE
Reply to your comment, since they don’t have reply button. I just went through all the comments there been made by your side. Notice a similar arrogant pattern of reply. “Don’t believe everything undercooked” but “Customer is always right” Love your sarcastic reply to each and every one of your customers who made complaints. Rather a humble acceptance would attract more customers. And yes not just me people will continue to point fingers on and keep on sarcastically replying them untill time comed to shut...
