Morpeth Bridge was opened on 15 June 1898 and crosses the Hunter River. The bridge is of timber trestle construction, employing Allan trusses—it was designed by Percy Allan and built by Mr. S. M'Gill. It has two central iron cylinder span supports fabricated by Mort's Dock.
