Need huge customer service improvement.
So, on a Friday evening after we reached we came to know that place was fully booked with major big table was empty (at lease till the time we left). I think it was our bad, we should have booked it in advance.
So, we ordered 4 veggie pizza and 3 veggie curries few nans and some other misc food items, overall order was decently big and made sure that food should be MEAT FREE.
After promised 50 mins of wait time (because of order quantity), we finally got our food ready to pick up after 1.5 hrs, I guess that's fine, it was busy evening.
So we picked up our food and head back home, we were very excited to have our Friday evening with yummy food, specially kids were quite excited to have their dinner after wait time of 3 hours +1 hour of longer than usual dinner time.
Here we go, the moment we just stared consuming the food and after 2 bites, we found something unusual, and one of the friend quickly realize the food was chicken tikka and other non-veg items. With complete control of anger and "trauma" with deprived of food on Friday evening, we called them up and gentleman was apologetic and assured to give us full refund, took all the details and assured that "Owner" will contact.
Its been months, haven't even heard back from the owner with a word of Sorry. Human tend to make mistakes, but accepting and sense of accountability and customer service is key.
I guess, it's we the consumer who should be Sorry for...
Read moreWhilst recently in Morpeth, My wife and I walked past a sign which read, ”Woodfire Pizza and Indian food”. We followed it and went through this beautiful, old stone-built Colonial style building into this Restaurant. We arrived about 11.40am, just in time for lunch. We were the first and only patrons there, so we sat in the middle of the establishment, in front of the wood-fire oven. We ordered our food and waited about 15 minutes. Two young men arrived, and the waiter ( Manager ) sat them to the table right beside us ( I thought this was strange as the restaurant was empty …. If not for my wife and I ) Whilst we waited for our lunch to be cooked, we both felt rather uncomfortable sitting there with the two men listening to our every word and often gazing at us…. So, we both moved to a further table. The Waiter brought our meals out to us. I removed our two pairs of knives and forks from the serviette, I noticed that there was only one serviette, so I tore it in half, so we could have half each. The food was incredibly mouth-wateringly tasty and a true delight to eat. The spices danced on the back of our palate. Each bite was delicious. We were both extremely impressed and can’t wait to come back here, oh course we will be hoping that there are more patrons in the restaurant before we arrive. ( I’ll bring a spare serviette in my pocket for...
Read moreThe Indian food was lovely (Curries etc) however don't let the name "Morpeth Woodfired Pizza" fool you. THE "PIZZAS" should not be called pizzas. They honestly taste like stodgy reheated cheap brand frozen pizza badly recooked after sitting in a fridge for 3 days. The bases are like cardboard, the cheese texture was like plastic. And the dessert pizza completely burnt on one side (obviously not turned during cooking) I normally don't leave negative reviews, I generally just move on, but after spending around $150 takeaway between 6 of us (2 Kids) we binned all the 4 pizzas bar the few bites we tried. So I just want other consumers to be pre warned & only order Indian Cuisine I gave two stars as the name indicates Woodfired Pizza tends to be their specialty, and two dogs seriously sniffed these pizzas and walked away. I would of gave 3 stars if They were called "Morpeth Indian Cuisine" or something along those lines, and said the Curries were delicious, but just don't try their pizzas. But, the name now seems misleading to me. They should stick to what they are genuinely really good at, really nice tasty Indian food, which is a lot better than a lot of Indian restaurants...
