Olsen Butchers South Perth — Local services in South Perth

I drive 30 min to buy ethically-sourced eggs from this shop. Twice now, I’ve been refused purchase because I wasn’t there for meat. I don’t eat meat, I only go there for the specific eggs they sell delivered Thursday mornings. I’ve been there other times where they sold them to me no problem.

The excuses I was given are laughable. “We realised people were just coming to buy eggs.” Really? You mean people like me? Who ONLY give you money for said product?

Don’t carry items you’re not willing to sell. Irony being I could buy $400 worth of meat and no eggs, but can’t buy $400 of eggs and no meat. (Before you ask, I was only there for 3 dozen).

I’d rather drive another 20 min to Black Truffle in Freo, who are always happy to sell the things they sell to people who want to spend money at their small business.

We had an amazing experience with Olsen Butchers in South Perth this morning! We had been searching for a Turkey so we could have a surrogate thanksgiving here in Australia since we couldn’t travel home to Canada this year and we had phoned so many places with no luck. Is this the best butcher shop in the world, has to be the best in Perth anyway. From the moment you walk in you will see and smell what I’m saying. The Steak you buy at Olsens is just better than anywhere else I’ve been. Also you will experience, ‘old school’ good service, it’s like in Butchers shops years ago, that style. Also some associated products like the best olive oil ever etc...
