Based on the price and the food quality. I don’t think we will come back again. The lamb cutlet is super fat... only have a very little meat between the fat. It costs close to $50. Doesn't fill you up, and we both don't eat the fat. Of course, there is no refund. I told my partner not to eat it. But he just can't be bothered to complain about the food quality. The wagu burger 🍔 tastes very wired and makes me want to throw up(usually, burger is a basic thing for people order, but didn't't expect that bad). McDonald's probably does better burger than them. The side carrots and sweet potato (we left a lot on the plate, ate some sweet potato and 1 baby carrot only), steak tartar is a bit salty and pink panther are ok (we finished it). And your staff didn't ask us how's the dish at all. We don't eat it, we still need to pay for it....that's destroyed our mood. Environment: a bit noisy. Can't really talk. When they arrange a big group table next to us very close. We don't enjoy sitting there at all. I didn't request that, but in general, usually I'll get a quiet seat. I only know it's noisy when we sit down. Can't be bothered to change different seats. Yes, you were offered the dessert, but I don't really like it. Again, we don't eat the food, there is no discount offer for the meal except the small piece of cheese cake, We still need to pay for it even is bad meal. So what are you expecting? No touch the food at all? And ask for a refund and leave the door? And go somewhere else on busy Saturday night? We always go to different restaurants to try good food. We are happy to pay for the food, if that's good. Most restaurants are good in Perth. This was celebrating dinner and was meant to be happy, but the food doesn't keep us happy at all. We don't think it's worth going there again.

Booked approximately a month ahead to celebrate our son’s 21st. He asked for steak & I knew they do good steak from a previous casual meal months before. We booked for an early dinner at 5.30pm & the place already had a few tables occupied when we arrived. Staff was friendly but scarce. We had to look & waive them down. Felt a tad ignored to be honest most of the time. Our drinks were served quickly, then came our entree of foccacia & whipped butter plus a bowl of marinated olives. We ordered the steaks with salad & unfortunately they didn’t even come after about an hour a bit - approximately 6.45ish. Way too long of a wait which made our kids restless as they were so hungry. Although the meals were delicious & cooked perfectly, but the wait time was insane. Another disappointment was the amount of the food. At the end of the night, we paid almost $670 for the 4 of us & I know that everyone was still hungry!! Although I offered to order more, but my family declined thinking of how much more time we would have to wait if we ordered again. To give you a picture of what $670 got us : focaccia & whipped butter $24 ($6pp) marinated olives $9 triple cooked chips & tomato sauce $13 chinese cabbage slaw w toasted peanuts & fried onions $16 stoneaxe wagyu sirloin on the bone 750g $390 stoneaxe wagyu flank 250g $65 2 glasses of wine (rose $16 & pinot $15) 1 glass of Lemon Lime Bitter On top of that they also charged us $7pp for bringing in our own birthday cake. At this stage,, I am hesitant whether or not I would go again tbh.

Seems like next door are not the place to be for birthday dinners! We must have got the same staff as another reviewer who also came for their birthday. We had a very similar experience.

I provided feedback and the restaurant had constant justifications for bad service and poor food.

Honestly I’m so disappointed in our experience and really wish I had not booked my birthday dinner with you. My first time at next door the food and service was amazing. This time the service was very substandard especially for the price we paid. The quality of the meat was good but that is the only positive feedback I have.

The sides were way below average (not just the gluten free options).

The chimichurri was horrible. We ended up eating plain steak for dinner …. With a side of plain lettuce. Yum!

Our experience started when I entered and asked for some more menus, the front of house staff was pretty dismissive and said there are already some on the table (not enough for 12 people) but do you want more. I said yes and none arrived.

The next issue was again some attitude and dismissiveness, I advised two of us were gluten free which I noted in my booking, we were told oh the potato’s are fine they just share the same fryer. I replied well no that’s not fine that’s not how allergies work. We ended up only being able to order the salad, or I should say $14 lettuce. It wasn’t until after it arrived we were told the dressing just has a little bit of gluten, well we’re not just a little bit allergic so that doesn’t help. When I questioned why we were not told before we ordered again I got a dismissive attitude. We did however not have to pay for the lettuce. So that was one good thing. However I would rather pay and eat a full meal that plain steak.

The last time I visited the sides were amazing. This time not so much. When we asked for some kind of dressing we were asked do you want some oil, (eventually after being dismissed initially) I think it would have been better to check with the chef maybe? Anyway we got some balsamic after we had already almost finished our lettuce. And no this is not seasonal this is just bad food.

A guest asked for a recommendation the staff responded I’ll go get some menus and show you what’s on the menu again dismissively and rudely as he was all night. You’d think your staff would know what to recommend. He did come back and eventually give a recommendation. Was it possibly a new staff member? It felt like it.

He also was very clumsy and bashed someone’s wine glass and also dropped sauce on someone’s glasses. I honestly at this point think I give up with this review. I don’t have much good to say at all. I also gave up addressing our concerns as this guy was so incredibly rude that I felt uncomfortable and knew he would not take anything on board.

A very disappointing experience. A very expensive experience for the service we received and I feel embarrassed that I had my friends pay a big amount of money for this experience. I would never recommend your restaurant again. And I will never return. Which is a shame as after my first experience I have been telling everyone they should visit you. This will not be the case from now on. I wanted to provide this review as feedback before updating my google review. And got a terrible response from the venue manager.

Have the chefs or staff changed? I’m really very surprised at the difference in our experience. It felt like a completely different place.

I have gotten better service at grilld and nandos than this...

'Nextdoor' is more than just a restaurant. It's a culinary testament to passion and innovation, epitomising its mission to blend the simplistic joy of snacks with friends and the sophistication of an intricate wine list.

Nextdoor, crafts an experience, from the more modest but no less mouth-watering burgers to the pièce de résistance, of a high-end stone-axed wagyu, every bite is a vivid narrative of Australia's rich produce landscape. The wagyu, in particular, was an exquisite symphony of tenderness, flavour, and texture - a clear standout and worth every cent.

However, it's not just the steak that shines at 'Nextdoor.' The wine list is fantastic. Whether you're a wine novice or an aficionado, the curated selection promises to elevate your meal. The wines are a delicate blend of local favourites and international marvels, each promising to leave a lasting impression. Special nod to Charlotte, whose knowledge and passion for wines are contagious, making choosing a bottle or glass an experience in itself. Just like the wines the cocktails are a blend of classic tradition and innovative flair, a captivating tale of mixology artistry. From timeless favourites to modern twists, There's something for everyone.

While the food and drink are undeniably exquisite, the service at 'Nextdoor' adds the cherry atop this delectable sundae. Gavin, the owner, has not only conceptualised a wonderful culinary space but has also nurtured a team that embodies the very essence of warm old-school hospitality.

The ambience of 'Nextdoor' is a delightful paradox. It’s chic yet cozy, bustling yet intimate. The atmosphere beckons patrons to "stay for a minute, stay for a while," living up to its catchphrase effortlessly. There's a sense of communal camaraderie, almost as if you're dining amidst family, albeit in a sleek and contemporary setting.

In a world where value is often misconstrued as just pricing, 'Nextdoor' redefines it. Yes, the range in pricing allows for varied experiences, from a casual dinner to a lavish feast. But the consistent quality across all price points, combined with the ambience and service, ensures that every dollar spent is not just about the food, but about the memories crafted.

'Nextdoor' isn't a mere addition to Perth's dining scene; it's a luminary. It's where age-old traditions of great hospitality meet modern culinary art. Gavin and his team have turned a mission statement into a tangible, delightful experience. Whether you're looking to grab a quick drink or indulge in an epicurean journey, 'Nextdoor' invites, tempts, and satisfies. So, heed their call - whether you stay for a minute or a while, it's a decision you...

I had the pleasure of dining at Nextdoor Restaurant, and it’s safe to say this spot has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a special experience. The atmosphere at Nextdoor is warm, inviting, and full of charm. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy vibe, with tasteful décor that combines rustic elements with sleek, contemporary touches. It feels like a neighborhood gem that’s welcoming to both regulars and first-time visitors.

The ambiance is perfect for a variety of occasions—whether you’re enjoying a romantic dinner, a casual meal with friends, or celebrating a special event, the space effortlessly adapts to the mood. Large windows let in an abundance of natural light during the day, while the intimate lighting in the evening creates a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. There’s something incredibly inviting about the space, making it feel like you’re dining in a stylish, comfortable home rather than a traditional restaurant.

What really makes Nextdoor Restaurant stand out is the service. The staff here is fantastic—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and promptly seated at our table. Our waiter, Tom, was incredible. He explained the menu in detail, offered excellent wine pairing suggestions, and even gave us some background on the locally-sourced ingredients used in the dishes. His enthusiasm for the restaurant’s food and mission was contagious, and it made our experience that much more enjoyable. It’s clear that the team at Nextdoor is passionate about creating an unforgettable dining experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu at Nextdoor is a celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients and inventive flavor combinations. You can tell that the chefs here put a lot of thought and care into each dish, and it shows in both the presentation and the taste.

We started with the charred octopus, which was absolutely stunning. The octopus was perfectly cooked, with a crispy, caramelized exterior and tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat on the inside. It was served with a citrusy, herb-infused sauce that added a refreshing balance to the richness of the octopus. The flavors were bold yet harmonious, setting the tone for the rest...
