Botany Aquatic Centre — Local services in Sydney

My three year old son is enrolled in swimming lessons here with Elaine. The facilities and the swimming lessons led by Elaine are absolutely wonderful. However, today when we tried to enter a different person (a male) was working at the gate and refused to let my wife enter without paying additional fees, which we had never previously been asked to pay. We did not have money with us. My son has been working to overcome a fear of water and needs both parents (me in pool, mother poolside) to be comfortable swimming. That gatekeeper's insistence on beancounting has in my opinion compromised the botany aquatic centre's mission to provide an enriching environment for children to learn to swim. A great local pool, plenty of facilities such as a play space for kids, multiple BBQ’s and a vast grass area. Perfect for weekends and public holidays. There are two pools, one a 50 metre olympic-sized pool and one smaller, shallower baby pool. Has a kiosk that opens regularly. There is also a swim school that I have enrolled my child in. Everybody is very nice there, the swim teachers, the lifeguards and the receptionists....
