It's really hard to believe that there is a lolly shop located in Windsor, of all places. Even harder to believe is that this place closes at 10pm most nights (and even later on Fridays and Saturdays).
The shop contains just about every sugar confection I know of, colas and sugary drinks of all flavours both desirable and dubious (bacon soda is available), as well as some savoury snacks not usually sold in regular groceries in Australia. In one corner of the shop you'll find hot sauces galore, and what I think are all the ingredients required to create a fluffernutter sans the bread (thankfully a Woolworths is just around the corner to meet that very need).
Scattered throughout the shop are little gift shop novelties, but a lot of other products seem to be Disney things - everything from desk sticks to mugs and limited-run porcelain collectibles.
Oh, right, and as of the writing of this review, Lollies 'N' Stuff are still selling Wonka Bars. I'm surprised "The Candy Man" doesn't play over their in-store speaker system more.
From my experience, taking grown adults here seems to turn them into euphoric children, content to drown themselves in nostalgia, and grab whatever lollies catches their fancy (your mileage may vary).
Highly recommended, even just as a visit. People bringing kids may well be warned in advance that you will basically be manifesting the "kid in a candy shop" trope should...
Read more👀 Nestled in this charming heritage town, this lolly shop isn't just a shop, it's a portal to a childhood dream.
💥 Picture shelves overflowing with rainbow-bright treats, aisles stretching into the distance like a grocery store, and a sweet scent that hangs in the air like a sugar cloud. Trust me, you need to see it to believe it!
🥤Attached is the old soda shoppe with specialty sodas galore, heaps of PRIME and lots of soda flavours strangely unique including bacon and ranch. EW!
🍴 My first visit was like stepping into a candy kaleidoscope. I was a kid in a candy store, literally, and my inner sugar gremlin was screaming with delight. I wandered through aisles brimming with international delights, especially from America which I obtained a lot of! Also retro classics like Gobstoppers and candy cigarettes that brought back a wave of childhood nostalgia.
✨ The real star of the show, and what I will always go back for, for me, was the grape laces. They taste like grape hubba bubba but lollies!
So, if you find yourself in the charming town of Windsor, do yourself a favor and step into Lollies 'N Stuff. It's more than just a candy store; it's a celebration of childhood, a sugary escape from reality, and a reminder that sometimes, the best things in life come in brightly...
Read moreMyself, my mother and my son went into the store after our mothers day lunch. It was full of kids and hard to navigate the store as their is no signage.
My son has autism and the music was a little loud and I noticed he was getting anxious, I tried to leave the store but as I said it was very full. Before we could make it out my son started to wave his hands about as he was getting scared and accidentally bumped a small tin of lollies off the shelf.
I was picking them up and was almost stomped on by a tall skinny, older women who worked there. She shouted at me and demanded I payed for the lollies. I have no problem paying for something that my son as dropped by accident, but the manner the woman went about it was extremely rude and not needed.
She continued to follow us around the store and went over to the counter and whispered to other staff. We payed $10 for a small tin of lollies and the lady rudely spoke over the poor girl serving us that we are NEEDING to pay, as if we had forgotten. Disgusting behaviour.
The candy in the store is overpriced and there is hardly any candy you can't find in woolies for...
