WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER! I purchased two liquor bottles online in June 2024 for intercity delivery (55km) and, one of them, a Spanish liquor, arrived completely smashed. The package seemed ok from the outside when I received it, I signed the delivery, as it seemed alright, and as soon as I open the box, liquor went all over the floor. I contacted the Petersham shop straight away to seek advise on how to proceed and also contacted Aramex (delivery company). I made an enquiry through Aramex as Anthony, the owner, told me to and just waited for a resolution.
Anthony pushed all responsibility to Aramex, saying until we get a resolution from Aramex they couldn't do anything. I called Aramex and they said they couldn't give me any information as they are only allowed to communicate with the sender.... I would chase up Anthony every now and then, he would never give me any updates... 6 months have passed and I have obtained nothing, nor a refund, nor a replacement bottle and I am still waiting for Aramex to provide a resolution or for the Petersham shop to do something.
During the process, Anthony has blamed me of breaking the bottle in my own house, a bottle that I bought as a present for my partner, why would I break a bottle I was really looking forward to get?... He also blamed the 55km journey the bottle had to do from Petersham to my house... Noting the bottle comes from Spain to his shop in Petersham, which is a 17,000 km journey... I find very interesting that the bottle didn't break in a 17,000 km international journey, but it did break in a 55km intercity delivery.... I THINK SOMEONE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO WRAP GLASS BOTTLES PROPERLY, HOW TO CHOOSE RELIABLE DELIVERY COMPANIES, HOW TO TREAT THEIR CLIENTS WITH RESPECT, AND ENSURE THEY RECEIVE WHAT THEY PAID FOR.
The disappointment I have is unimaginable, no product, no customer assistance, no refund, no replacement, no follow up, nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in 6 months!!! IN FACT ONLY ARGUMENTS OVER THE BLAME FROM THE OWNERS CORNER.

   Read moreThis is by far the worst Merchant I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I purchased 2 expensive bottles of port, one for myself, one for my brother in law for christmas.
When I tried to explain to Anthony that it would be risky to try and send back a bottle that was not properly sealed he informed me that I had to and that I should speak to his supplier which should be never happening as that is between those two.
He tried to invalidate my cliam stating that because other similar bottles had been sold with no complaint that it was somehow my fault.
He told me to goto fair trading NSW so I did and meanwhile my brother in law opened his bottle and the same thing happened, the cork disintegrated and the port was corked.
I informed Anthony and he said this "2 complaints in 10? Years & they are both from you! " - which is extremely rude and as others have said, tried to blame the issue on me.
I drove around for 2 hours trying to find a place I could get a suitable cork and I did my best to seal up both bottles and package them for delivery. Both were corked and completely ruined.
He ignored my email asking for the return details and said that he "lost my email" when i sent a further reply. He also then tried to say that he would only now accept one of the bottles because too much time had elapsed from the first bottle because it should be drank within 6 weeks.
The port was undrinkable from the time it was opened. Time is no matter here and he never once said during our conversations or during the time we waited for Fair Trading to reply that time was of the essense. Not should it be when its undrinkable port!
I have now had to goto Fair Trading again and wait until they rule in my favour which is that he accepts the return.
By far the worst customer experience you could possible have filled with accusations and changing minds regarding accepting the return item.
DO NOT USE Update: I beat them in court and they have been ordered to refund me and cover the costs of going...
   Read moreWorst experience i have ever had at a liquor store. I called to get a price on Jack Danialâs Master Distillers, and was told they were $49.99 a bottle, and they had 4 cases. I called again latter to put them all aside, but the manager was not in the store, and the staff wouldnât put it aside and said call tomorrow for the manager. So I called again, No manager again, every time I called I said the same thing, Jack Danielâs Master Distillers to confirm as it was a really good price. I tried calling again after I headed down but got a shelf stocker as everyone was at lunch and wouldnât be back for an hour. He also couldnât put aside the Jack. So I get into the store and the old lady at the counter takes me over to the JIM BEAN Distillers for $49.99âŠâŠ.. I just drove for 2 hours from the blue mountains and this old lady is blaming me for not emailing them. I called 4 times and confirmed ever timeâŠ.. after some prompting I got another employee to call the manager, who just said nope. I ending up taking the 1 bottle they had of JD MD, and it took over 20 minutes for this lady to ring it up. Couldnât remember any product codes, then charged me the wrong amount, all the while blaming me for the whole situation. Manager is worthless, never there and then makes bad decisions. The old lady should not be working...
