Not Greek- atmosphere isn't greek. Staff are rude and kept forgetting when we ask for something asked to order desserts with one of the managers and he brushed us off multiple people complaining about being put outside. We booked for 2 adults a child inside well in advance and had a small child who was cold with us got outside table instead and despite many free tables inside ( in fact we were the first ones there and all inside tables were all free for at least an hour after we got there ) was told cant move inside because the influencer showed up and had priority despite having a child that was cold multiple open tables inside and an inside booking . Common courtesy would be to see a child sitting outside in the cold and ask if he wanted to move inside they essentially had adults inside in the warm and us with a small child outside in the cold. Staff kept saying the two small tiny heaters will heat up but those tiny heaters dont have the power to heat anything up at all in that big open space. Food was confused and not traditional food! Staff telling me how to order and saying portions are big and not to get this or that when they turned out to be small Nothing kid friendly either! We could hardly eat also due to the influencer prancing around inside the restaurant being filmed with very very bright lights and flashes that were extremely distracting while trying to eat.

Waste of $250 never again and dont reply to me with your copy and paste reply about sometimes we have to sit guests outside and booked well In advance well we did book well in advance but still had to be outside and had a child courtesy would be to put him inside in the warm not to leave him outside in the cold while adults enjoy...

Having dined here on the weekend I was not happy with my dining experience. We were sat outside in the cold and rain & basically felt neglected. We had requested inside seating when we booked more than 3 weeks ago. Staff were not attentive and the food was nothing great for the prices. The wine was very expensive as are the cocktails when you’re sitting on the street in Petersham after you’ve driven around for 20 mins trying to find parking. And having to ask for water 3 times is annoying. I was reading through some reviews before I wrote this and I just noticed as another reviewer mentioned they think perama is writing their own good 5 star reviews I have to agree. Funnily enough the newest review mentiones Ruben the barman being so great then wham someone called Reuben writes a review right after completely praising the place. Coincidence?? I ate there 5 nights ago and I assure you mine and my guests visit was not enjoyable. I have been to the original perama & 2.0 and for a while 2.0 was ok there were lovely attentive staff of sisters we remember looking after us inside upstairs not on the cold street and a beautiful lady that used to run the place that nothing was too much for her to do. Why change things that were working? We won’t be back

PS THANKS FOR THE REPLY I WAS GOING TO MAKE CONTACT AND EMAIL YOU BACK WITH MY DETAILS FOR A CHAT BUT IVE JUST NOTICED THE REVIEW FROM THE LAST PERSON ANASTASIA I THOUGHT HER NAME WAS MENTIONING REUBEN HAS BEEN DELETED FUNNILY DONT TAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS AS STUPID AS THAT REVIEW NOW SHOWS IT WAS CLEARLY WRITTEN BY YOURSELVES WHICH HAS BEEN POINTED OUT THEN YOU HAVE DELETED AFTER YOU READ MY...

Actually, 3.5 stars with the loss of stars attributed to the service.

So yes, the food was delicious, but the welcoming feels were not there. It was made very clear to us from the moment we arrived that we were to leave at the end of our allocated 2 hours. This point was reiterated throughout our meal, just incase we forgot. The seats we had were ok. But when it rained, we were rained on and the seat next to me was saturated. Towards the end of our meal we asked for more wine, but we were advised that we only had 30mins left on our booking (so no - you cannot have anything more). The bill was provided to us 15mins before the end of our booking with the waitress then presenting the EFTPOS machine 5mins later. We were basically moved on. Whilst polite, the waitress was sharp and not welcoming at all. Luckily the other waiters who served us were all lovely - I hope our tip was passed onto them. We also noticed that the people seated beside us (who were there before we arrived) were allowed to stay and indeed were moving onto dessert. So they were there longer than the allocated 2 hours.

We get that times have been tough with this pandemic and restaurants have to be optimise their opportunity with customers as much as they can, however, if our experience is soured because our patronage seems like a burden to you, then you cannot possibly expect us to return no matter how great the food was. Especially when your central philosophy on your website and menu is all about the extension of your home and honouring us like as friends. Anyway, have tried Perama 2.0. Won’t go again and no recommendations from us to any of our...

Date night Being upstairs the atmosphere was great, was able to have a conversation and not too loud. The room was well lit and tones of the room went with the vibe to suit the food genre. Felt like you were in a small little Greek restaurant in Greece. The food was amazing ! Cannot fault minus that we got too excited and ordered way too much. But we wish we had more room for dessert. But we will be back for more. Did not need to wait for beverages or food after ordering. Presentable and a great portion sizes too. The service. From the beginning of the night we were looked after by the same person. The waitresses were amazing to bring out the food in a timely matter. The kindness of the hostess who looked after us made us feel welcomed into the restaurant and not just another number for the restaurant. We were able to take our time even despite the table being cleared and just enjoy the atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend this not because of the food but because of the staff making you feel welcomed in. Will definitely be a returning customer and maybe even a traditional place for a date night with the partner.

Super delicious and authentic Greek Food, that is what we found at Perama 2.0 in Petersham. The premises seemed to be newly renovated. It definitely had a distinct Greek vibe to it. The staff members were very friendly and helpful, specially Libby - our host. She explained the menu choices and guided us in choosing what would suit us from the many choices available. We had the fava & pita bread, halloumi nest, Greekslaw, braised octopus and lamb skaras with potatoes. The Greekslaw was a complete surprise which contained toasted corn and raisins with a mustard sauce in addition to what you normally find in a coleslaw. The braised octopus was finished off over charcoal and was superb. The lamb was tender and seemed to have been given the charcoal treatment as well. We also had the Visinada Rickey and Ibiza Tropic Spritz as cocktails. The dished essentially was for sharing being quite generous and we had no space left for desert afterwards. There is ample parking a short distance away near the Petersham Town Hall. A lovely dining experience indeed.

One of the best Greek restaurants in Sydney. Decor is clean, sharp, and decorated with authenticity. Ground floor has the tastefully decorated bar and also have outdoor sitting area, upstairs is bright and airy. The food quality is supreme. Flavours are spot on. All are moderately priced and lamb had a massive serving. BBQ Corn ribs were so juicy and so much flavour. Pork belly baklava had crispy skin with tender meat, Chargrilled octopus with greek salad was tasty and authentic. Sea food Parcels was one of my favourites. The quality of the produce is unreal. The desserts are the highlight, especially the spiced saffron poached pears, pistachio and ice cream. Outrageous flavours The Drinks are awesome too, Make sure you try one with a name you can’t pronounce (?? Melamakarona) Greek cosmo. Refreshing and scrumptious Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. And there are so many staff running around attending to the tables. we were very well looked after. Can’t think of many places better than this one. 5 out of 5
