Sindoor Indian restaurant Petersham — Restaurant in Sydney

After a long day of flight delays due to CoVid, my family and I finally arrived home to discover a new restaurant had opened nearby while we had been away over the new year. We were all exhausted and hungry and ordered some take away, though the restaurant and outdoor dining looked very welcoming. The service we received was excellent and our order was ready quickly, which we were grateful for after our day. We regularly order Indian food in the inner west of Sydney and know some very good restaurants but we all agreed that the food we ate from Sindoor was some of the best we have had in Australia- fresh, clean, authentic and delicious flavours, all at a very reasonable price. To say we were impressed and delighted to discover this little gem in our neighborhood is an understatement and we look forward to trying more of the amazing looking dishes on their menu. Unfortunately had a very poor experience with this restaurant over uber eats. Ordered two containers each of both butter chicken plus karahi chicken and a few naans. The portion sizing is quite good for what you pay. However, Butter Chicken was very poorly made. Watery curry. Zero taste of actual butter chicken. Felt more like I was just eating a curry made of nothing but tomato purée with a few pieces of chicken cut up into it. Absolutely flavourless. Zero taste of any spices. Had to throw out both containers as I could not handle the taste whatsoever. Unfortunate to say by far one of the worst butter chicken's i have ever tasted in my life. Karahi chicken wasn't any better either. Once again a one of the most watery curry's I have ever eaten. Taste was very poor, like eating a salted chicken broth. I have ordered foods from Sindoor for numerous times. This is the best indian restaurant in sydney. The items that i like the most are Samosa Chatt and Butter Paneer. Not just offering good taste of foods, their service just go beyong than my expectation. I again ordered foods from Sindoor via uber eat, however, the driver just cancelled my order when the moment he nearly approached to my location. I gave a call to Sindoor and find out if my order has been picked up. They confirmed it, however, they received the notifcation from delivery man that the food items got damaged which is unexpected. End up Sindoor offered me free delivery options by arranging their driver. Really appreciated their help and...
