If I could zero star I would. Your Auburn branch is by far the worst venue I’ve been to. I am fuming that I had to write this tonight. Officially the worst movie experience I’ve had & not because of the movie. We just finished watching the Lion King, drove from the city to meet the rest of the family to see it. We even paid for the Titan Luxe experience which had so much promise until the movie started. Babies were crying, kids were constantly talking/screaming running around, walking up and down the aisle. People in front of us had their kid playing YouTube so loud that my brother went down and asked them to turn down the volume as you can hear it though the supposedly Xtreme sound system. The security guard came in and ask people to take out their babies when it was crying several times. Is that not common sense these days?! Ruined the whole movie experience and was frustrating. After this movie experience we asked and spoke to complex floor manager. she said she wasn’t aware of it even though her staff had came in several times due to the noise complaint from other people, She said it never got escalated to her and they will talk about it and the process internally but they couldn’t do anything since the movie is over . How is that my problem? You promised an experience and failed to deliver and it telling you what happen. We feel ripped off. I’m suppose to miss my fave childhood movie mid way to complain about the service when it never got escalated to you the first 3 times. What a waste of time and money. I expect a refund or even to just be able to rewatch the movie without this disturbance. Do not advertise something if you cannot deliver! I wasn’t the only one to complained and they made it seem like it was my fault. I told her I would escalate to head office and she said go ahead they’ll just filter it back down to the branch anyway. The security was nice and tried to be helpful but your in charge not so helpful. I’ll make sure I post on every forum and tell everyone I know not to go to this horrible venue. Also your floors on the way out of Luxe cinema 2 is like quick sand! It’s so sticky. It needs to be cleaned. Now I’m also reading all the other reviews. Seems to be an ongoing issue with this place. Cleanliness and...
Read moreReading Cinemas Auburn is a notable establishment that has long been a favored destination for movie enthusiasts like myself. Its cinematic experience is second to none, with comfortable seating, advanced screening technologies, and a wide selection of films catering to various tastes. However, my recent visit was quite a departure from the enjoyable experiences I have come to associate with this cinema.
The film selection, as always, was varied and comprehensive, making Reading Cinemas a desirable location for any film lover. The theatre itself was clean and well-maintained, and the audio-visual quality of the movie screenings was superb.
However, the otherwise great evening was disrupted by two unfortunate incidents. A brawl between a group of girls escalated to the point where another moviegoer was hit. Shortly after, another group of boys began throwing popcorn around the theatre, causing additional discomfort and disturbance. These events significantly affected the overall movie-watching experience and created an unpleasant and unsafe atmosphere.
The staff and security were initially responsive to the incidents, promptly removing the disruptive groups from the theatre. However, the decision to allow these groups back in, only for the disruptive behavior to continue, was surprising and disappointing. The lack of decisive action to ensure the safety and comfort of all moviegoers was a major letdown, and unfortunately led to a tarnishing of the evening's enjoyment.
Despite this incident, I am hopeful that Reading Cinemas Auburn will take this feedback into account and ensure more effective handling of such situations in the future. It's critical for all visitors to feel safe and be able to enjoy their movie experience without such disruptions.
To conclude, while the unsettling events of the evening were indeed a detraction, I do believe that this incident is not reflective of the usual experience at Reading Cinemas Auburn. I look forward to improved security and management responses that will ensure this remains a cherished space for...
Read moreMy visit to this cinema was nothing short of a nightmare. This establishment, supposedly a place of entertainment, turned out to be the worst cinema in Sydney. Excited to watch 'A Quiet Place' with friends, our experience took a sour turn within just 20 minutes of the movie starting. Out of nowhere, a security guard abruptly approached us and demanded we leave the premises, accusing us of "making too much noise."
I left the cinema and calmly explained, in the reception area, that we had been quietly watching the movie and that any noise had actually come from the people next to us. Despite our protests, the guard remained indifferent and insisted we vacate immediately. The manager, who intervened, upheld the guard's decision without bothering to verify our side of the story. Not only were we forced out of the cinema, but we were also denied any chance of a refund.
The treatment didn't stop there. As we made our way to the carpark, another security guard followed us and unnecessarily recorded my car's number plate. This intimidation tactic left us feeling threatened and unsettled, fearing further escalation over a situation where we had complied and left as instructed.
To add insult to injury, the customer service throughout this ordeal was shockingly poor. The state of the bathrooms was appalling, reflecting a complete disregard for basic hygiene standards.
In conclusion, this cinema is an absolute disgrace. From the unjust expulsion over baseless claims to the deplorable facilities and appalling customer service, I strongly advise against anyone wasting their time or money here. This entire experience has left a bitter taste, and I would caution others to steer clear of such an unprofessional and unwelcoming...
