The Split is THE spot to hang out and party like it’s spring break all summer long. It can be a lot of fun and it's worth checking out at least once when you're on Caye Caulker. I'm not saying you shouldn't go there, but keep in mind, the food and drinks are priced a lot higher here than most of the island. My fiancé and I got a drink here, but we ate at other restaurants nearby for half the cost. There also weren't many people here when we were visiting. Maybe with more people it would be more fun. We ended up liking the bar next door a lot more because it's a similar vibe but fairly priced and locally owned. Read morePLASTIC EVERYWHERE!! I was there for the lobster fest and although the music and atmosphere were good, there was plastic everywhere floating and sinking in the ocean! If you're serious about your island and want tourists to keep appreciating it in the future, PLEASE stop serving drinks in plastic glasses with plastic straws and hire someone to clean the beach of plastic bags/bottles, foam boxes, etc before the wind take them to the ocean.
