CayeReef Beachfront Boutique Condo Hotel — Hotel in South Caye Caulker

We really enjoyed our stay at Caye Reef. Our unit was on the 4th floor…and at times the stairs were a killer. When we go back…we would probably target the 2nd or 3rd floor. Based on the concrete construction, I don’t think you need to worry about noise from floors above. |The kitchen was nicely equipped. Though we were just doing drinks and appetizers. I didn’t try to do any full meals. I would also call out their filtered water cooler. It offered filtered cold water…we used this heavily. I would recommend bringing a water bottle with you. ||The little pool downstairs was a fun gathering spot for the various guests. The ocean is across the street with unobstructed views. They do have a reserved section of the “beach” but the beaches on this island are less than spectacular. Very hard packed sand and the water is part of marina, restaurants…not anything I would call swim able. This isn’t just for this location…applies to pretty much all of the south side. We’ve stayed at CayeReef a handful of times, and have never left disappointed. |The gang is always super helpful and easy going, we were traveling with our toddler daughter who does naptime around lunch, they let us check into our room early and had the pack&play ready to go which parents of littles understand is such a huge relief! |Our group rented our 3 rooms, and no issues were had across any of them. The large living area is so nice to have, as well as the full kitchen. |Such a nice location being near the split and everything is easily walkable, though they do have bikes you can use or are happy to call a taxi for you if needed!|We loved the large step/shallow area of the pool to allow our daughter to play. |If I had to make one suggestion it would be to somehow offer a little shade in the pool/lounge chairs but I know with the setup that isn’t...
