Sandy Lane Guest House & Cabanas — Hotel in South Caye Caulker

I booked here after reading tons of rav 5 star reviews and can't quite understand what the fuss is all about except yes it is cheap and fairly clean.||My husband and I like to travel cheaply and generally do stay in pretty budget places, and this is no different. I found there to be no charm here but purely functional if that's what you are looking for. Our room was small and hot, but had a fan. The hotel is a block in from the beach and unfortunately doesn't get the ocean breeze so it gets a bit hot in and out of the room.||I didn't find the owner overly helpful or accommodating, and I'm learning now reading the other reviews that there was wifi? I couldn't find any and she neglected to tell us I guess.||The "outdoor kitchen" is more just a picnic table and a grill so don't be mislead about really cooking up any kind of meals beyond maybe grilling a fish or something.||All in all we had a pleasant stay and it definitely fits the bill for a cheap clean place to sleep with little...

Very convenient studio, good location between the ferry and the Split, a few meters off the main street, which can get noisy. The kitchenette has everything you need to store your groceries or cook your breakfast if you don't want to lose time or money. Veronique and Raul were very friendly and helpful via Whatsapp. We had a little wifi problem on arrival. Raul came right away to fix it. We also asked for more towels and were delivered some on the same day.|The studio is very clean. Noone came to clean during our 6 day stay, which was no problem for us but I am not sure it was mentioned when we made the booking.|We were very happy with our accomodation choice at Sandy Lane and would highly recommend it to our friends and family.
