The experience I had at this store today has to be one of my worst in my 25 years here in Calgary. I walk in to this store with my 3 year old daughter and politely greet the owner. I proceed in a few steps and he says to me "Just to let you know there is an indoor parkade". I thought he was being courteous and making sure we came in the "warm way" since it was a snowy day. I told him we did park indoors and thanked him. To my surprise, he responds, "So you parked indoors and still came in with your puffy jacket to knock things over". I was stunned. I asked him if that was the right way to treat a customer who wants to give him business and why he made the assumption that I would knock things over. I told him that I am always respectful of the space I am in and he went on to say "it doesn't look like it". I concluded with "Do you hate me?" because his demeanour towards me in that moment sure felt like it. I am still taken aback. All I did was walk into his store with my winter jacket on. Why did you judge me like that? I have a recommendation for your business:
I purchased a game from Amazon and received the wrong game. Rather than providing any form of customer service all I got was "not my fault not my problem". (even though I'm pretty sure it was their fault) Furthermore, they went out of there way to talk down to me like it was normal and acceptable for this mistake to happen in the first place. There are honest, decent people who sell boardgames. Then there are people who act like politicians.
Maybe the owner is just old and tired (randomly complaining to me how it costs money to run a store?). Maybe you will have a positive experience. For sure I'd take my business elsewhere, online or in person. Because when things go sideways, politicians act like politicians, and tired people don't care. EDIT: Response from the owner 12 hours ago Sorry, Jay. I unable to help you to understand how Amazon's fulfillment service works. Usually it works well and is worth the value paid. The fact that you are continuing your rants on multiple channels with only whining rather than trying to resolve your problem undermines your credibility and remaining empathy. All the best.

I am going to add in response to the owners comment. I was not trying to put your shop down. I really do appreciate having a great selection close to home. However like I said, stores/websites like 401games, boardgamebliss, boardgames all beat your prices and I don't see them going out of business anytime soon.
I will continue to shop your store, for single items as opposed to waiting for shipping as your price matches others including their shipping, but once $60-$70 is spent, it can be sourced with...
