Must be fake reviews on this business, never in my life have I been ripped off so bad in a trade supply store. I'm a tradesman myself, whenever I buy I try to support local business and not the big box boys. Most often I save lots of money, worst case they are similar in pricing and I still feel good about the support aspect. Bought a standard StabLoc breaker, the guy gives me this big long song and dance about how rare and in demand these things are, tells me it's cheaper to buy a complete panel and proceeds to complete the sale. When I get home, my brother the electrician tells me I got hosed. I research pricing and the store shelves are loaded with these breakers and all stores I looked at were 1/3 cheaper than Aurora Electric. Of course it's cheaper to buy a panel with this stores pricing!! It's safe to say I seemed to have to paid the "purchase-before-long-weekend" and "crazy-person" taxes at this store, I guess they didn't like my face. I approached them in person after the long weekend and told them my concerns, to paraphrase they basically said too-bad-sad. Don't buy here, if they suspect you're a nobody you will pay the crazy-tax as I did. Prices...

Top of the line Canadian owned electrical distributor. The inventory is huge and the support is excellent. Aurora Electric Supply opens up at 7:30 in the morning. I'm able to get what I need for and start working without wasting hours away waiting for others to open up.

The staff is excellent, particularly Allan, who I deal with a few times a week. Aurora does not hesitate to pick up a book, look up on computer or contact suppliers to get you what you need if it is not available on the spot.

Aurora saves us time and money. If they are not a direct supplier for an item they will tell you so. It may cost more but not be way out of line. We really respect their honesty and feel very comfortable ordering new items not worrying about being taken advantage of if we are not aware what their real value is.

If you're in the electrical trades, this place is worth visiting. From the outside it seems like a small unit, but it is just the front entrance. Inside the inventory is huge. What is not available on the spot is often there the next day for you.

It is really a pleasure dealing with this company and a great way to start the day...

These guys are great! I've been coming for a few years but thought I should call them out. Always great service and decent pricing. Don't bother going to the big box stores where they rip you off. Example: I purchased Kidde hardwired smoke/CO detectors (3) with Lithium battery for $61.25 at the time of this posting. Home Depot charges $99.97 for the exact same thing! Also, that's for purchasing a single unit. They don't make you purchase 3-packs or minimum quantities. I checked around other electrical suppliers and they were the cheapest! Keep on doing great work guys!...
