Terrible customer service especially from the older white woman (small stature) staff to myself, a French-speaking, respectful Asian woman, then to my elderly Asian father. Avoid her. She had no interest in providing any service. First time, I had to disengage with her, she was rude and dismissive when I asked her a question about their inventory for curtains my parents wanted. I then asked a lovely young woman to help and she was competent and helpful. It was creepy how this older woman hovered while I was talking to other staff. The store only had 2 panels in stock and had put in an order for 4 curtains for my elderly parents. When my parents received order, they shipped one curtain that was the wrong size. The store put in another order for the correct size, this took almost a month to arrive. When I spoke to the manager, he said it was a truck issue and there was nothing he could do about it. I had to call and talk to 3 employees to get answers as to when the item was shipped from the warehouse. The third employee was a young woman and she was helpful. When my elderly Asian father went to pick up the correct item after we got the call it was at the store, this same older white woman was rude, dismissive and unhelpful, told him they were out of stock. She made no effort to understand that it was an online order that was received and didn't offer to check in the back. She made no attempt to help and when I spoke to her, she blamed my father for not explaining. She engaged in gaslighting. When I asked if they could offer my parents any incentive for their mistake and the month delay, this same older white woman engaged in gaslighting again and told me we were lucky to get the product because the warehouse only had 2 in stock. I corrected her and told her I triple-checked at the time of re-order that they had enough in stock, and they had confirmed there were 25 or 28 at the warehouse. I made sure of this because if they weren't able to provide this item, my parents would have had to return all 5 panels. Their manager also did not seem interested in keeping our business, so I filed a complaint with corporate office. We won't be shopping there again. Read moreAs mentioned in some reviews, while it may be true that the prices at this Linen Chest may not be the cheapest for bedding and home supplies and furniture, I believe that their customer service at this location by very helpful staff such as Vincent and many others, along with their weekly promotions if you are subscribed to their newsletter to be in tune wirh their weekly promotions more than make up for their prices. We need to remember that with the existence of online retailers, it is impossible for the brick and mortar physical stores to ever go as low as the online reviews who may have less overheads. Only when you compare online prices versus price and mortar stores such as this one will you find their prices slightly less competitive than the online counterparts, otherwise Linen Chest has a very good ratio of affordability vs product quality and customer service…. You have a few good bang for your buck here if you shop during their weekly promotions. Their store is a good place to look at some of the furniture they have on their online catalog and have a feel for the quality of their furniture. I got to admit, Linen Chest may not be the best place to buy furniture, but they have good deals for mattress, bedding, blinds, curtains and they have a whole dedicated section for mattress with helpful staff available to answer your questions. You can’t put a price on helpful customer service available to you when you need it. Their prices sure beat Dormez-vous… which still come down to 800$ for a mattress even after all the promos and bargaining. Read moreService was slow. I made a couple of Black Friday purchases and chose in store pickup. It was supposed to be next day pickup. They emailed me to let me know that I'd need to wait about 3 weeks due to sudden inventory changes at the store. I never received an email that the items have arrived at the store, so went online to see the status of the order. It stated that the items would be ready for pickup on December 20th, yesterday. I went to the store and gave the cashier my order number. He kept paging someone over the store intercom but no one would ever arrive. I finally went walking through the store, found one of the staff that was placing inventory items, told her my situation and that no one was responding to the intercom.
