As soon as I walked in it was a bad experience. First I asked the gentleman if my ring could be resized. It's a ring given to me from my grandmother with pearls and garnets. He laughed and said it wasn't really worth it, I thought that was rude but brushed it off, the ring has sentimental value more than anything. He then told me he'd have to take the stones out, resize it and put them back in. I collect the ring a week later and wore it for not even a whole day when I noticed one of the pearls had fallen out. I went back to Barry's and the tall bald gentlemen served me, he was extremely rude first of all saying that they would never have taken the gems out, that I misheard what was told to me. He was laughing and being very confrontational it was very uncomfortable. He went to check with the goldsmith and found out that no I wasn't making it up, the gems had been taken out and glued back in place. No apology from him at all. He continued being rude and confrontational and said they'd put another pearl but there'd be no guarantee on any of the other stones and that it would take 3-4 weeks. Go to pick up my ring and within 1 HOUR there is another missing stone. On a separate occasion my mother has had 2 rings resized, when she went to pick up the rings they were not the size previously agreed on. So more time lapses while they try to correctly size the ring, we go back and they claimed to have made it bigger but when it was measured it was still exactly the same size as before. Not only is this jeweller's clearly lacking expertise, above all else they are extremely rude, most notably the tall bald gentleman. I am writing to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding the lack of communication and follow-up in connection with my recent attempts to inquire about the Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 you had listed for sale.
As a long-standing client with extensive experience in the luxury resale market, I made several good-faith efforts over the course of multiple weeks to engage your team with the clear intent to complete a purchase. Unfortunately, these efforts were met with silence and no acknowledgment, which is not only unacceptable from a customer service standpoint but also inconsistent with the standards expected of a reputable retailer dealing in high-value luxury goods.
Due to this failure in communication, I was ultimately unable to secure the item, which has since been sold. This outcome is particularly disappointing given that the delay was entirely attributable to your organization’s lack of responsiveness—not any failure or delay on my part.
In light of this, I respectfully request the following:
That I be immediately notified should another Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 of similar condition become available; and
That you extend a 15% courtesy discount on a future purchase as a gesture of goodwill and acknowledgment of the inconvenience and lost opportunity I experienced.

Dee was the first associate of many to greet me at the Burlington location with utmost respect and most importantly a smile. I had been searching for an engagement ring for my girlfriend (at the time) and started my search with Barry's. Dee set the bar extremely high when she listened to exactly what I was searching for and had the exact ring, in stock and worked with my budget perfectly. Even when I told her I was interested in a couple other potential rings at other stores she was not pushy or aggressive. But instead put a temporary hold on the ring just incase in trusting that I would at the very least let her know my decision- This entire 15 minutes interaction sold me right away!
When I searched at other jewellery store in the Hamilton-Burlington area, I found almost everyone to be extremely pushy and aggressive. When I would mention I was looking at rings at other jewellers I was hit with the classic "we have someone coming to look at this later today" or "the price will go up when you walk out the door."
Dee was the most caring associate I have ever dealt with and an absolute pleasure to work with and trust with the entire process. For something I thought would be complicated she made it seamless.
