Made the mistake of giving them another chance. BIG MISTAKE! I ordered a Works and a Hawaiian. The Works was missing toppings and the ones on it were so sparingly applied. The ham on both pizzas was tough and definitely old. I called to complain but was told all was put on the pizza that should have been. I love Papa John's recipe but can't trust this location again. My stomache is still churning from the gross ham. It's such a shame when franchisees don't maintain their corporate quality standard.
I'm a bit confused. I ordered a large buy one get one free The Works and paid 26.99 all in. There are NO prices on the menu boards so I just assumed that was the price of the large specialty pizza. However, I went back on a non BOGO day and just order an EXTRA large The Works and paid under $20 all in. So why was it more expensive on BOGO day? There's something unethical there. I also noticed a significant difference in the quality on the non BOGO order. I asked for extra sauce but it was dry and it was a hunt to find the toppings. Inconsistent to say the least. I was hoping this new management would be an improvement. I love the Papa John's product, I only wish it would be consistently offered and ethically run as well. Put your prices up and don't change them based on a promo offer. That is a violation of integrity...
Read moreI decided to try Papa John’s last night for the first time because it’s fairly new to Burlington and they sent out coupons that included a deal on a 4 topping large pizza for $11.99, which is very affordable by local standards. When I arrived at the store it was quite busy, which I took as a good sign of quality. I was served promptly and impressed by the fact that I could customize the pizza with different toppings on each side and it didn’t affect the price or the number of toppings offered. I was also impressed by the fact that chicken only counts as one topping here and didn’t otherwise incur any premium charges. After ordering I was told it would take 15 minutes, which was an accurate estimate in spite of them being swamped with orders. When I got the pizza home it was hot and fresh, prepared accurately according to my specifications. The service I received was spot on. The pizza itself in my opinion was very good, not great, but excellent for the price point. I don’t personally love the sauce and it would be nice if they offered red peppers as a topping but for $13 with tax for a large pizza I really can’t complain. Overall I had a good experience and would go back...
Read moreWent inside to pick up the order. Staff member leaves the pizza making counter and walks over to the computer and tapped the keyboard with fingers and then went right back to folding the dough. No hand washing of any kind in between. I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt. Well that was the first red flag.
Jalapeño mozzarella twists burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Found a thin black curly long hair inside of one. Yum. Garlic twists burnt and swimming in grease. Pizza was thin crust but tasted like cardboard. This is a first for me. I can check it off my bucket list now. Pepperoni sausage was cooked perfectly. Pizza sauce was ok. Wrong dipping sauce provided with the order.
Staff unfamiliar with online menu when placing phone order. The funniest part is a huge sign outside that says "under new...
