Ski West Mountain Division — Local services in Calgary

Had a great experience with them. Bought new skis and boots for the missus and I. My wife being a former racer had very specific needs for both skis and boots. She wanted something powerful and damp. They suggested some Stocklis (laser AX). For boots the missus is also very discerning but, due to some health issues, has been struggling to find the right foot. We worked with JF whose patience and knowledge have really helped her address the boot issues she’s been facing for a couple years.

As for me, not quite as advanced a skier as the missus in my abilities, JF was able to help me get into new boots and fit them properly for me. Super comfortable, super light, and give me the stiffness I need for someone my size and abilities. As for skis, on his advice I went for a wider and stiffer ski than I normally would (Stockli Stormrider 105). I’m 6’5 and 225lbs. Recognizing this he knew that the way a ski performs for me isn’t going to be the same for an averages sized skier. So he suggested slightly shorter length than what someone my height would normally ski. I haven’t looked back. Most fun I’ve had on skis since G1 Blizzard Bonafides.

My daughter wanted to get new boots for snowboarding. They were specialized K2 boots and we were recommended to try Ski West. Let me just say this was the best customer service experience I have ever had... in ANY retail store!

Jered was kind, easy going super knowledgeable and really listened to my daughter's needs. He treated her with respect and treated me as a parent who had to pay for my daughter's wishes with equal respect. I really cannot say enough good things about Jered, Ski West or the whole experience. The prices are competitive. The sale prices are good. They offer a wide variety of product and the service is unbelievable. Honestly, this is the only place to buy a snowboard or snowboard gear in Calgary. Highly, highly recommended! Jered has won Fans for life.... so much so my daughter refuses to buy any equipment or accessories anywhere else even if it is cheaper. Ski West has been around for a long time in the ski, snowboard and skateboard business and I can see why. Their commitment to customer service, great prices and personalized service is what really puts them above the competition.

I purchased a decent set of Nordica skis, Salomon bindings and Scott poles, online, and it was like working with them as if I was in their store. I had some questions and special requests which were attended to quickly and positively which I really appreciate. I was also able to speak with them about some of the specifics of the equipment I was ordering or considering and the people I spoke with on the phone were knowledgeable and friendly and it was great to hear their input and recommendations.
