I visited this place in mid December to drop off two unstitched salwar kameez and a sari. I also purchased two pieces of fabric plus lining to make an additional two blouses.
I visited their store on December 31 to pick up my stitched salwar kameez and one blouse. The salwar pants were a bit too loose, so the tailor agreed to tighten the pants for me. That day, I took home the made blouse and salwar kameez and agreed to come by later to pick up the additional fabric for the two blouses and the 2 salwar pants. With me on both of these visits were my mom and my grandma.
My grandma went to pick up my clothes a few days later in early January and was told by the employee that my clothing was already picked up by a woman claiming to by my friend. My grandma told me and I called them.
I told them this made no sense because no one I know would pick up my stuff and I hadnāt asked anyone to. She said this person knew my name and number so she gave my stuff to her. I told her this was a bad business decision since anyone could have gotten this information, given they collect phone numbers and names in a notebook by hand and there were others in the store with me when I shared this information with her. She said she would check her cameras and let me know.
I called back two days later and she said that her camera footage has expired since itās already been 14 days, but in fact it had only been 9 or 10 since my visit on December 31. I knew at this point she was lying about something and either lost my clothing or gave it to someone by mistake or didnāt want to give it to me due to unethical business practices.
I told her that she is lying to me and she needs to make me new salwar pants and give me my fabric, as I paid for all of these items already. She said the best she could do is stitch new pants for me at a discount price if I bought new material for her. I told her this was unfair because I shouldnāt have to give money for her bad business practices and she shouted āget lostā before hanging up on me.
Throughout all of our conversations, she never apologized for a mistake made on her end and insisted that it was my friend that picked up my clothes already and I just needed to figure out who it was. I was not offered a refund for the services and products I didnāt receive from her and was forced to go through my bank to dispute this transaction.
Thereās so many other tailors in the city that can stitch south asian clothing at much better prices and more positive customer experience. I donāt recommend this place due to their unprofessional behaviour, untrustworthy practices, and poor...
