My family and I decided to check out the wax museum (Friday, August 30), although we came 3 years ago my daughter and her friend really wanted to go, mainly to do the wax hand sculptures. Lucky for my daughter she got an excellent employee who helped her do this, she was kind, patient and pulled it off flawlessly. So grateful for her I wish I got her name but sadly for my daughters friend an employee named Lexie came in as it was the sweet ones break time. Lexie was rude, sassy and just terrible customer service. My daughters sculpture was perfect the exact way her and her bestie planned. But lexie wouldn't let my daughters friend open her fingers because "we do things differently" (meaning herself) so now they do not have matching sculptures and what seems small isn't to two girls on vacation with plans. She was rude and terrible and did everything differently then the sweet one on break and rudly. The employee working the counter was also sweet. Overall the wax museum was the same but we enjoyed it. Everything was good except the one specific employee who also was going off to the other customers about how her boss doesn't know how to spell her name because it was wrong on the badge. 3 stars would be 5 if we didn't come in...
Read moreWas through with my buddy recently overall very enjoyable experience. it was my first time going through and I found a lot of the wax sculptures very cool. some were so lifelike it was kind of uncanny while others were less so but I'd say most are probably above 90% accuracy. some of the best looking ones in my opinion are Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, and Bill Clinton. as you could imagine there was a bit of a laugh when we spotted him. definitely something more geared towards teenagers and adults considering its mostly pop culture based. that being said there are definitely a lot of things that would be cool for all ages like the star trek props for example. some lights were out but I would chalk that up to being used an unholy amount of times all summer long. definitely try and go when it's not to busy so you can take your time and read all the info to go with...
Read moreVery dated. Our kids 10 and 12 only recognized a few of the celebrities. I went before years ago and nothing has really changed much. A lot of the figures are behind ropes so you can't pose for selfies with majority of them except for the ones in the lobby. Also many were not very well maintained, missing lashes, dirty wigs etc. It goes by fast so it's too much money for the amount of time that you're entertained. I was excited to take the kids but we all ended up disappointed. I'm embarrassed for this place but i guess they depend on tourists that don't know better and will shell out the money on a rainy day in Cavendish. Could be so much better if they updated it with new figures because if you were born after 1985 you won't recognize 80% of...
