Overall a great park to spend the whole day with kids from 4 years old and up, really fun for whole family including adults.
Check their website for the tickets and plan ahead as you can find tickets for 15 CAD.
Bring your own food and drinks as everything is very expensive (expected). A hot dog, pop, popcorn are at least 4 CAD each for instance.
My wife and I went with our 6 and 11 years old kids and kids had a blast on the rides and we really liked.
Just make sure your child gets the right bracelet for their size as we've seen smaller kids than our 6yo going to the roller-coaster when they said ours could not. Really not sure what happened.
A lot of young kids rides, I think too much as 80% were just a vehicle going on circles that could or couldn't go up and down. Either way our 6yo loved them all.
Our oldest loved the Cyclone: nice little roller-coaster without any loops. Some good falls and corners as well as Blaster Boats: fun to drive and squirt water in others, be ready to get wet. Oldest just went 10 times in a row and staff was great with that.
Some of the staff obviously didn't want to be there but none of us found a problem as they were always respectful. Most of the staff is friendly.
The Bumper Cars is too small for the amount of cars but it was still fun. About 2 or 3 cars were not working and were making up space on the already small track.
The Mini Golf was fun but the walls were to low and the ball went out of the field easily. Not fun when the mini golf is on a hill and you have to get all the way down to get your ball back. Still fun though.
The cliffhanger was not working and there was a sign at the entrance stating that it would take a long time to have it fixed (Jul 2024).
The go kart is not included on the pass and seems to be fun. We also did not try the carnival games as the prizes were really ugly lol. Our 6yo badly wanted to try just to get a prize though, really a child catch (also expected lol).
Bottom line the park is really great to spend a lot of time with the kids. And the adults. Could have more variety on the rides as there are just too many young child rides that were pretty much the same...
Read moreIf I could give a lower rating I would. Returned specifically to use the go kart track. Upon entering the three guys were told they had to use the double cars, not a problem they opted to wait for the next run to have single cars to race in. They were the only 3 in line. While the race they waited out went on the young man working the karts purposely pulled up all the cars so that the guys could not use single ones and then when on break. When the next race round came up the guys were then told it was too much work to move the cars for them to have the single cars, even though they were the only ones in line. The park certainly wasn't busy on Tuesday! When making it clear we were no longer interested in using the ride and wanted our money retuned the young men began arguing with us telling us it wasn't possible. As we were returning to the ticket counter, I clearly heard one of the employees at the go kart ride complaining to a customer about us. When I called him out on his behavior, his answer was 'he asked me'. When we finally were able to talk to a 'manager' she didn't even listen to the issue. Only looked at the employee making faces and saying it was too much work before turning and walking away from us. This area of the Island is focused on tourism and if you believe this is how you will receive repeat business, you'll end up with empty pockets. I suggest you offer your staff some custom service training...
Read moreThis venue is like a British soap opera -- hasn't changed much in 20+ years since I visited it as a kid. Still a great activity when beach-time is not an option. Basically a permanent midway with a few extra activities like mini golf and bumper boats. Compared to a traditional mid-way, the bracelet prices are reasonable ($32/person in 2023). If you take part in more than 4 activities, your bracelet pays for itself. I have kids aged 10-16 and there were enough activities to justify the expense ($175 taxes in for a family of 5 -- we spent 3+ hours there and the kids said it was the highlight of our stay on the Island). It is important to know that go-karts and carnival games are NOT included in the bracelet and cost around $8/activity. Was a life-saver on an overcast day on the Island. The Cyclone is still one of the best mini roller coasters in the world and my kids were able to ride it 3 times in less than an hour. Lineups are "Costco"-like...they move fast and are worth the wait. Biggest downside is the number of rides that are down for maintenance without announcement. Two rides were out of service -- something you don't know before buying a ticket. Having said that, compared to prices at the Capital Exhibition in Ottawa (and the time spent waiting in lines), this was a good use of time and money for a younger...
