Was here Sunday March 23 for a birthday party. Place seemed decent and fun for the kids. Unfortunately an incident occurred where my child was sprayed in his face with cleaning chemical by a lady named Jerusalem. My son crying, I go up and console him then ask the cleaner if she seen him and what her problem was. Her response was she must've missed seeing him. I ask what kind of chemical it was. This person plainly did not know. I take my kid up to the front desk to ask to speak to a manager to find out the chemical and get any information if I should call poison control etc. The front desk person has no idea what the cleaner was. She directs me to the birthday party coordinator, Jet, who at this point is dealing with a customer. I stand there trying to ease my child's crying and concerns. Stood for about 7 minutes before I realized they don't give a shit about this. I asked for a pen and paper and tell the desk staff to get this person, Jet, to call me ASAP once she was free. I go to console child, wash his face look for any signs to call poison control or the ambulance. He seems to be ok. 20 minutes passes and still no call from the birthday party coordinator. I end up going to the front desk again and see the birthday party coordinator on the phone planning a party. I stand at her desk so she can fully see me and my son. I think ok cool I'll just wait this time. After about another 5 minutes she finally gets off the phone and finally speaks with me nearly 35 minutes after the incident. Talk about urgency. She then goes off to me about how she was almost done with the person earlier and I should've waited and she got caught up and blah blah blah. Nothing brought up about my son but rather her telling me why she wasn't calling me right away to dicuss what happened. Again no answer is given about the chemical used in the spray just bitching about how I could've spoke to her earlier had I stuck around. Cause she really told me this the first time(sarcasm) She tells me she's forwarded my number to her GM, Mike. I ask to get him to call me ASAP. About 20 minutes more passes I get a call from a random number, can barely hear the person they say they are mike and that they were given my number by the coordinator. I can barely hear him. I explain all of what happened to this guy and I again ask a 4th employee of this place what's the chemical being used if i need to be concered. And again I was left answerless. Mike mutters something like he can't hear me, I can hear that he's driving as I'm on Bluetooth in his car, so professional. I tell him to give me a call when he's in a quiet space and can hear me properly like a normal person would do. Pretty sad this place is going around children spraying stuff on surfaces our children touch and in this instance spraying my child's face with said cleaning chemicals. On top of this you'll probably be pleasantly welcomed walking in to people smoking nearby as this establishment cannot put no smoking signs up anywhere or monitor the area a bit. We are walking into an establishment with our children why do we need to walk through people smoking. Try setting a designated area away from the doors for this.

UPDATE Since I wrote this review still no call from the GM. I see the owner was nice enough to respond to this review. AND STILL has not told me the chemical they used. As for the accusation that I'm lying about this I seen it with my own eyes. Your camera(if you have any at this establishment) will also show you this. As for the high emotions, you try having your child blasted in the face with a spray that still cannot be identified even.t this day and then getting the run around. No inappropriate language was used. No names were called. Your birthday coordinator was so huffy puffy about trying to set me straight about not waiting around for her to get done with a potential customer. Give your head a shake, your priorities are all twisted. It's nice to get a response but clearly you guys want to keep spinning this to somehow be my fault?...

Went today for a second chance visit (first experience 7 mo ths ago was not good) and I wasn't allowed a refund for the sky rider as I purchased 2, one for my son, one for his friend. The friend was too scared in the end, and my son was told he could ride twice. Well, after the first ride he said his neck hurt from it and didn't want to go again. I was told they won't usually refund sky rider passes and to use it next time. There won't be a next time and when I called to speak to management I was told he was in a meeting but he will call me back. Fingers crossed. Also, I was told if we leave to go home for lunch, we cannot come back today to play. Very disappointing. I didn't want to spend even more money on cafeteria food when I already spent close to $100 on admission and games and sky rides. We should be allowed to come back on the same day.

I wish could rate more stars, but I have a couple of points of concern. First, the zip line is an extra $4.00 for literally a 10 second ride. It would be nice to either have the zip line included in the general admission or adventure zone fee, or get more than one ride. Companies like this know that parents are more likely to pay the fee once there, as kids being kids want to experience all the facility has to offer. So the company knows parents are basically put in a spot of pay an extra $4.00, or deal with a screaming/crying/upset child. It really is too much money for a 10 second once around ride. I also did not know you needed to book a time slot for the zip line, and so my son had to wait an extra hour after purchased his ticket. Second, my son was turned away from the trampoline after his 3 minute turn. He went back in line (there were only 2 kids waiting to take their turn, but staff told my son to go do something else for 15-20 minutes and then come back. I would have understood if there was a big line up, but why does he get refused when no one else is waiting and only two other kids are jumping? He was very upset. Then I was upset because as parents we bring our kids to these types of places to have fun. I didn't confront the staff member, as I heard other staff telling kids the same thing at other stations in the adventure zone, so I am guessing staff are trained this way for some reason. But if no one else is in line, what does it matter if my son wants to jump for...

It's the first time I've taken my kids to Amazone Playzone, and it was one of their first experiences as well (although one child has been there a couple of times for some birthday parties). We arrived a couple of minutes after opening on a Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't very busy at all, even though it was extremely smoking outside to do some recent wildfires, so I was anticipating that it would be busy. I'm guessing it's somewhat comparable to other activity centres when it comes to pricing, but I did find it interesting that they do have two other areas that you have to pay an additional fee to enter, but I guess if you have younger children that wouldn't be able to go into that area due to some restrictions such as height and age, then it's probably nice that it's not included in the pricing.

The kids had a blast running around and exploring. It is a very large facility and it's quite easy to lose track of your kids, but there's really no way for them to leave and I found that they always came and found me. The playzone itself seemed quite clean and tidy, but that could be due to the fact that we were there first thing. There's a large area with tables and chairs to sit down for a break and some food or snacks. There seemed to be quite a few individual rooms for birthday party bookings as well. There was one obstacle made of closely weaved netting that I was surprised to find parts of it were being held together with zip ties. This is located 8+ feet in the air. I don't suspect it would give way with only a couple of small children in/on it, but it's something that kind of made me be more aware of when my kids were playing inside of it.

The ninja warrior, trampoline and climbing area was quite fun for them as well, although they didn't spend too much time there either. The kids do have to be careful if they are on any of the balancing beams jousting as I know there was one instance where a couple of boys fell into the padded out (which seems a bit harder than one would expect) and I believe they banged their heads on one another just based on how they fell. They were alright after a bit of crying though, but I could see it being an issue if the area was quite busy with kids.

Overall I wouldn't hesitate to return with the kids in the future, but I'd probably prefer to attend...
