Mama Donair & Pizza — Restaurant in Beverly

Where to begin? I've been coming here since Zellers was still around and the mall was still called abbotsfield. My family wasn't the most well off in money, so every now and then when we had an extra $15 we would come and eat here, that got us the Large poutine (best I've ever had, and still is) and a drink or two to share, and usually left us some cash. I was really sad when momma Donair had left during the first mall facelift. There was never a poutine that could even touch close to what these guys prepared. Eventually a buddy of mine told me they were back, so I had to go again. This was the first time in about 10-11 years that'd I'd be eating at momma Donair. It was just as good and well priced as it has always been. I cannot recommend them enough, if ever there was a poutine deserving to be called the best in the world, it would be the one made here. I've tried the other food, and it's just as amazing, but that poutine will always hold a special place in my heart, as will this resturant.

The best part for me is, they seemed to recognize my mother and I when we walked up, gave us a free fountain drink, and told us about their journey.

Garbage food! Ordered a Donair and instead of cutting the meat from the Rotating Beef meat and then Fried on the grill these people took the meat out of a crockpot! These people Should be Shut down and should inspect All donair shops in the Provence because they Dont cut Fresh cooked meat off the rotisserie and Then Fry it as “the Law in Canada” that the Meat is Heated Two Times and So many shops Dont do that! They have already cut meat which they heat Once to Luke warm heat making people sick! It’s Time to crack down on these shops try to make a Profit rather than a Quality food product to offer Canadians! So if your Still wanting to eat Arab food or Donairs you Must Watch them cut from the rotisserie and Then heat a second time, if you Not getting that then Report them because your getting Ripped off on Old food! Meat in the bag is what your eating for the cost of Fresh meat! Got it? If they Can’t cut you Fresh meat and fry it in-front of you your being robbed! Lets go Food Inspectors...

I got a donair with tomato’s, onions, cheese, and sweet sauce. It costed around $12. I was surprised by how good it was. The donair meat was moist, where as at the other places i have tried, the meat is dry. It was also well seasoned. The sweet sauce was also up there when compared to other places I have tried.
