Sunday I was so angry… I took my nephews (who are in care) to the movie for some nice family time. The kids went ahead of me, my 2 lil nechi braves and my Métis daughter. I went to get popcorn, but my daughter came back to help me and left the boys in the theatre. So we finally get into our seats and we’re sitting in front of a white family. There was probably a grandma sitting behind the boys, 2 kids on each side of the mom and dad behind me. Immediately they started being loud and obnoxious. The mom kept commentating to the little boy. Then I purposely yelled over my daughter to the boys “are you guys enjoying the movie”. My daughter jabbed me, yet they still kept talking loudly and the mom started hacking without covering her mouth. Next thing the little boy kept kicking my daughters seat. I turned around and said “can you please stop kicking the seat”. She says sorry I didn’t notice him. Ya right? She doesn’t know how to train her kid to have manners. So the boys started chatting and I yell “boys stop it have some manners”. Then the lady gets up and purposely grabbed my daughters seat to pull herself up. I didn’t see that part. Then the husband purposely put his foot up so I can smell his stink feet, so I sprayed perfume. Lol When the movie ended I tried to get out before them so I could eyeball them and give them a peace of my mind. I saw them in the lobby and they wouldn’t look at me so I thought why cause a scene. What really got my blood boiling was the grandma kept kicking my nephews seat and I didn’t know until we left. Omg 🤬🤬🤬 like honestly lady! How old are you bullying 2 little boys. Grrrr!! I gave the boys heck because they didn’t tell me. I reinforced with them to stand up for themselves and made them promise next time that happens to tell me and I’ll deal with it. We deserved to be treated with respect. I strongly believe it was racially motivated. How can people be so ignorant? I’ll never understand!! I felt embarrassed and violated. I think they should still have floor walkers checking the theatres for disruptive patrons. They should have been booted out!! Happy indigenous...

Get forgotten by the servers and then they tell you the kitchen is closed when you go to order yourself. Literally 30 seconds after an order was just placed in front of you and you have other meals walking past you. Staff expect you to believe the kitchen staff ran out the door right as you were coming down to the bar to order. Willing to wager adding 2 easily fulfilled food items like wings or poutine would've been no issue for the kitchen staff who are actively preparing meals for the other guests.
A "manager" spoke to us while the movie started, I declined the conversation and asked for the general manager's business card. "Manager" came back with a second employee and tried to have a nonsense "we're so sorry" interaction yet again during the film. Ruined the entire night. "Manager" kid didn't look older than 19, dress shirt not tucked in, full of wrinkles, not presentable. Only recourse was to offer a free main dish for the next visit (as if they're getting a second chance) because it's "so busy and chaotic" despite it being a Sunday and the theatre is 1/3 full. So definitely avoid the place if it's anything other than a Monday at maybe 10 am or they may be overwhelmed. Would hate to see a Friday or Saturday.
Should've stuck with mobile ordering on the app. It barely worked when it was available but at least it was technology being an issue versus being outright forgotten by multiple servers.
Also the Orange Cream Milkshake was 90% whipped cream. May have been dark but the glass was white. $15.50 for a glass of whipped cream.
Pretty bad gotta drive all the way across the city or to competitor for decent service. I'm not looking for free things. I'm looking for half decent service when I pay $30/ticket for a movie ticket and to order the food that's being delivered to everyone in the theatre except you. Avoid this place. Poorly ran, even worse...
Read moreWe had an unbelievable experience not once but twice in a row. A few months ago we went the VIP theatres. We came to the restaurant over 1 hour before our showtime and our food was not ready prior to the movie starting. I vowed never to go to the VIP restaurant again.
Last night, I thought we could try in seat service as we didn’t want to run into the same issue again. We arrived at 10pm for our movie at 1030. The theatre was still being cleaned so we asked at the bar if we could order to our seats. I showed him our seat numbers D 3&4 in VIP1. We ordered popcorn, drinks, and 2 meals. Shortly after sitting in the theatre our popcorn and drink came. We happily enjoyed our popcorn, watched the theatre fill up, people ordered their food AND got it brought to their table before us. 15 mins into the movie I thought something wasn’t right. I took my receipt out to the bar and asked why our food hadn’t come. The server went to the back to find out. I told the other employee there that I didn’t want to miss the movie and wait at the bar for them to figure it out. I told her what we ordered and our seat numbers. 20 minutes later an employee came in advising that the server ordered the food to the wrong table, someone else got our food and the kitchen was now closed. I had saved my appetite for this so had to settle on just popcorn :(. They provided us with a refund and two vouchers for meals next time. I honestly don’t know if there will be a next time even with the vouchers. Talking to employees about this order, sorting it out and getting a refund while trying to enjoy the movie greatly impacted my movie watching experience. I’m sure it irritated people sitting next...
