I would like share my experience I had at the 137 location at the keg. We were celebrating my grandmothers 70th birthday, while our server was amazing, there were other servers helping with drinks and bread. One server was named Julia or Julie, we first noticed her demeaner when bringing the bread, she would slam it on the table with no regard for other plates or drinks, noticeably knocking into other dishes. We didn’t say anything as it wasn’t often we saw her. My starter salad came out and I ordered 2 drinks, we didn’t receive the drinks until half way through the entree was finished being eaten. Julia came over to offer the drinks, when she served my drink to me she placed her hand directly ontop of another persons plate, with her entire sleeve touching all the persons food. She didn’t say sorry she didn’t address her clothing touching the food. I tried to take the drink before she placed it on the table to avoid her touching the plate of food, but she didn’t let me and forcefully put the drink down. She left and came back with another water and while our table is full, the person receiving the water didn’t want another situation where her sleeve touched any food, she went to meet her hand to help the waiter; again, she slammed the drink down, knocking the drinks on the table and almost knocking over the table lights. This time before walking away she made a very rude remark “I can put the drink down myself thanks” and swiftly ran away, after I noticed what she said I said excuse me? And our original server noticed something happened. I explained what happened and she mentioned she’ll bring a manager over. The manager who came over was names Brandon, when he came over, it was very clear he had no intention on apologizing for his staff and went as far as defending her and saying he already got her side of the story and wasn’t interested in hearing ours. He also said she was a great waiter and has never had any complaints. I’m not sure what that had to do with our experience with her but at that point, the person who had their food smothered in a work attire sleeve was in shock at his defensiveness and total dismissal of the situation, she got upset, said something under her breath and left the restaurant without returning. When she left the manager started laughing, I asked him what was funny about this situation and we went on the explain that there wasn’t any issue and what we experienced was basically no big deal. He then was getting into weird semantics saying I speak for the table and I represent the table, through the conversation I felt this was all a joke to him so I asked for his superiors contact information. If the waitress was professional in all her other encounters but for some reason had a problem with our table as a whole I can’t help but feel maybe it was cause of ethnicity. As the manager made it very clear Julie isn’t unprofessional with anyone else.
While this is my grandmothers 70th birthday, this is also a sacred place her and her late partner would go to frequently. This was the first visit since he’s passed and it was already a very emotional setting. To then be met with such malicious disrespect, laughter and dismissal while our food was contaminated with a work sleeve was never what we expected with a manager present. Brandon didn’t offer any solution and doubled down saying again, he stands with his staff member without hearing the customers full side. Our family loves the keg and are shocked by the treatment and wonder what caused it. If we decide to return to the keg and continue giving it business, it will be far away from the...
Read moreIt was a Friday evening so I called 30 minutes before we wanted to be there and thankfully there was 1 opening for the lounge area. I said I'd be there in 20 minutes and thankfully it was still reserved but they stuck us in the smallest little corner where people weren't even paying attention to us. A guy who wasn't supposed to be our server noticed we didnt have any menu's or anything and asked if we had been seen yet. He was an excellent server paid attention all around. If it wasn't for him I would've been disappointed. The girl that was supposed to serve us apparently got embarrassed that she didnt notice us so he took over. Again he was great. He did mess up 1 of our orders and forgot the mushrooms and salad with 1 meal but he apologized and they took it off the bill, brought us the mushrooms right away and asked if we still wanted the salad. My bf said no but I said yes as he got the salad meal for the mushrooms and I wanted his salad. So that was all good after and handled well. Again it was Friday and busy. We didnt get asked if we wanted another drink until after we were finished eating. Which is ok cause we didnt want to spend too much as drinks are also not cheap. He did grab me a water since I asked then. I was disappointed that my prime rib came out very rare in my opinion. They said they cook it medium rare which I wanted but it looked raw and rare. I didnt complain because I didnt want my bf to wait forever for me to eat. I am grossed out about it though. It was still good but tasted and looked too under cooked. Twice baked potatoe was good abit small but portion size of meats were good and better than we expected. So yoy really don't need much sides. I would suggest cheese in the twice baked potatoe, didnt seem like it had cheese. I also would have loved a little carrots or some veg with my meal. Since I had mentioned it was my first time the guy mentioned when taking our order to save room for a dessert on them. Their nice sized free dessert was good and light. Dessert wasn't a cheap size (Billy miner pie). Over all I'll go back for sure im impressed with the quality of food. I almost forgot drinks were good I ordered a rose from bc and bf average beer and also we had an appy of crab cakes which were small but absolutely delicious!! Came with a small salad which was over powering of vinegar i choked a little but was...
Read moreThis location has been a favorite but last night was tragic. We weren't seated for our 7pm reservation until 7:20pm... As soon as we were seated, we placed our beverage and food order immediately. It took over 12 min to get water and 2 glasses of pop. Forgot the glass of wine. Flagged the server (ghost) after another 15 min and then he brings the wrong one...red, not white. We get our meals almost 1 hr after our drinks. There were 3 orders there exactly the same...3 medium rare 6 oz sirloin steaks. Two arrived medium well. One was the birthday person's so I changed out my medium rare one for his medium well steak because he should be the one to have a good dinner experience. I couldnt eat mine...left 3/4 uneatened, I tried. At least the manager came around to check on our dining experience. Although he offered to remake the steaks, we declined because of how long it took to get our meals and were were already hungry when we arrived. Then they forgot to bring out the birthday cake we brought in earlier with written instructions. There were other unacceptable issues such as how ridiculously late our meal arrived. So many people were seated long after us and had their meals long before ours including larger crowds. We all remarked how long our drinks took including the forgotten wine, then how long the food was taking to arrive and then our forgotten cake. While paying the bill, the server was trying to justify the tardiness but it seemed like an after thought..as we didn't initiate the conversation. Almost all the other diners have left (took an unforgiveable amount of time with our drinks & food for a busy Keg night). Then as another slap to the night, I was asking the hostess a question on my way out...she was very unfriendly, rude. Long dark hair, very slim, pompous. (Sunday Dec 15 )...she really shouldn't be a hostess, representing any establishment. Everyone left feeling disgusted that our important family celebration was soured by...
