Came for the free slice, but now I’m hooked (read on). As I was stepped through the door I was disappointed to see the slices were sold out but within a moment I was kindly reassured that it would just be a second, and in the blink of an eye a fresh pizza was pulled out of the oven and a steaming brown bag was slid across the counter to me. The warm, cheesy breeze hit my nostrils and I felt as though I was in heaven. What I didn’t realize was that my sensory journey had barely begun. As I slid the slice out of the bag I felt the beautiful texture of the crust; firm yet soft, moist but not greasy, crispy but not over cooked, and oh so pleasurable. As my eyes rested upon this celestial being I was thoroughly pleased by the colossal slice of pizza I had been gifted with. The dainty elegance with which the pepperoni slices were laid to rest on the magnificently elegant bed of cheese was exceedingly evident. The allure of the slice did not surrender there. I raised the mesmeric object to my mouth and meant to take a bite but my eyes were riveted to the aesthetic beauty. When my gaze finally broke, I couldn’t imagine the next moment in time to exceed those which prefaced; yet they did. Ah what I would do to have time turned back to the moment my eyes were opened to the light. As the tip of the glorious pie-shaped ray of sunshine entered my mouth, my outlook changed. The flavours melded in my mouth as the zest of the pepperoni met the savoury goodness of the cheese as the sweet crust brought it into unison. Words cannot describe that moment. Texture, flavour, smell and sound we’re all entities of the human realm where I was not in existence. If satisfaction, peace, love and unity were a flavour, that would be it. I yearn for more and I will return for more. Spending a little over a dollar at City Pizza to enjoy a fresh slice could forever change your life.

I probably should have walked out when I saw what the slices looked like but I was starving so I ordered a pepperoni slice. The worker placed it in the oven for about 30 seconds then bagged it and handed it to me. When I got to my car and opened the bag, the slice was lukewarm at best. It was extremely hard and tasted like it should have been thrown out hours ago. I have also noticed that when there is a gentleman working there is always an additional 10 cents added on to the total on the debit machine. I assumed it was some sort of charge for using debit, but it didn't happen today so I am even more perplexed as to how it can be different depending on...

City Pizza always has delicious pizza and good prices, however I encountered less than ideal customer service on my last visit. I ordered online and planned on picking up the order on my way home from work. When I got there, they couldn't find my order even though I had the email confirmation. They quickly made my order, but I had to wait 15 minutes more and then I was surprised I was charged full price even though I was inconvenienced through no fault of my own. I understand there are glitches sometimes, but I should have been compensated. In retrospect, I should have asked at the time but was in a hurry to get home...
