I've had burgers all across North America and I'll say the burgers here are actually up there with the best of them, the slap sauce is a mild mustard-esque sauce, not too greasy or oily or "fake" tasting, like a mayo and mustard combo, quite enjoyable and tasty for a signature sauce. burgers themselves were nicely seasoned, not dry at all and very umami as you'd expect from a smash burger. if you've had shake shack before this is very similar, quality and burger formula is high. the burger is probably a 8.5-9 overall with the minus being that it's price point is quite high. (I had my burger with the super saiyan add-on)
I expected the fries to be very average or even forgettable but i was happily wrong. i had them super-saiyan (add-on) and they were nicely saucy but also retained their crunch even after i left the box sealed for the entire time that i ate the burger. if you are a shawarma on fries enjoyer, this will be for you.
I also had the lemonade for my drink, it was above average but not the best i've had (chick fil-a is my 10 - i don't even eat there i just get the lemonade). it's not something i'd specifically go to slap burger for but i would never have a problem getting it as my drink, a bit more on the sour side with a tinge of sweetness makes for a refreshing beverage with the deep savoury flavours of the burger and fries. Better than a lot of other "fresh lemonades" offered by other establishments.
there are plenty of burgers out there that're average or forgettable, i was pleasantly surprised that the first experience here isn't another one on that list. if the quality standards of this location are kept up that is the main factor justifying the high price point, i...

Read moreThe burger itself is amazing, a great smash patty on a fresh bun, toppings were great - albeit a bit different to pay for mustard when ketchup packets are free.
The fries were very disappointing. Looking at the menu you're told about hand cut fries. Think Five Guys or New York Fries (pictured as well online). What we got were Costco Cavendish. I do not mind a substitute, but lying to your customers about this is unacceptable.
The decor inside was lacking, very basic and the chairs reminded me of being in detention in middle school.
Another gripe I have is about the Uber Eats Menu options. They had a Buy One Get One deal, typically these deals are pretty simple - buy 1 item on the menu, get the 2nd free. Their normal combos go for standard pricing, 15-20$ for a burger, fry, drink. A new item that is not on the menu called an OG Smashburger combo was 26$ was created to offset the cost of the BoGo deal.
Minor complaints but misleading to customers on a few items are my reasoning...
