I want to love this mall, Georgetown is my hometown after all! But good god it needs help, and soon! The tenant turnover is insane, people coming and leaving constantly. The new mall management is unfortunately not doing everything they could to improve this mall. This mall is incredibly quiet, leaving employees bored and frustrated. There are some great places in this mall, Conspiracy Comics, Showcase, Winners, the Fruit Tea place, not to mention good food (Frisch Fries is an absolutely amazing place!). But this mall doesnât seem to bring in the foot traffic it needs to keep these places busy. Things need to change, new fun stores that attract a younger audience, clothing stores, mall events that are well planned and thought out. It needs refreshing, everyone knows that! I want to love this place, the mall management needs to give Georgetown a reason to love this place, and a reason to shop here as opposed to driving outside of Georgetown. We want to...
Read moreI have lived in this town my whole life and this is the worst that the mall has ever been.
It is clear that new management of this mall does not care about it at all.
High turnover rate of stores has been noticed lately and a bunch of stores that have been in the mall for a long time are suddenly leavingâŚ.seems like there is definitely an issue with whatâs being charged for rent. Especially when you see larger companies like Cleo and Indigo leaving, head office probably canât justify the rent being charged. Itâs a joke.
And we have a whole store space being occupied by ridiculous ride on stuffed animals? You rent these to ride around the mallâŚwhich is tacky and an absolute waste of space. Wonder what they are paying for rent. Must be owned by a family member or friend of the new management.
Mall cleanliness is terrible and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting.
Do better. It sucks watching this place get run...
Read moreI came to this location for the Walmart. I wanted something and it was only in stock here. The environment was welcoming. I came in during the day so it was relaxed. My cashier was very helpful. I liked that the shopping carts don't expect you to insert coins to use them here and that there weren't so many self checkouts. We miss human interaction and I know automation is great for companies but people need to eat and need jobs. Being an unemployed person, I know the struggle is real to find jobs with hundreds of applicants for one position and it saddens me to see technological progress causing suffering to our population in this way. I went to another Walmart and they had an automated floor cleaner.... These things are novelties. Stop killing jobs in Canada. Thank you for reading my PSA and thank you to your human cashiers for...
