Mr. Souvlaki — Restaurant in Halton Hills

One star because less than one is not possible... however this place would be more realistically be a negative 5. Went to get a tray for 12 ppl (that they claim to sell). The woman behind the counter was ready to take the order but when she consulted with the woman in the kitchen they finally refused the order. They told me it would take two hours to prepare my order. When I agreed to wait they then told me that they were not prepared to cook as she had not time to prepare this order. Not sure what the cook was doing in the kitchen if she was not prepared to cook. However, the woman in the kitchen told the server at the front that she was OK if I was willing to take 10 to 12 individual orders. Turns out the price for this is about 25% higher than their catering price. Not sure what the point of advertising a catering price and then being to lazy to cook it. Looks like the cook was upset as I had disturbed her sleeping routine at the back. What I suspect was that they need to time to pack the stale stuff at the back in their catering trays and that would take too long. Not sure if they are lazy but so much for me trying to shop local. I think I will stick to the larger chains that actually know how to run a business and know a few things about customer service. Plan to stay far away from this dingy place with its stale food and uncouth customer service. Just down right arrogant and lazy are the two words that...

My God this place is dangerous.....

There was a line up waiting for chicken as they ran out. The old guy cooking it looked confused. I was watching him cooking the chicken....

Then I watched him move the raw chicken over to another area of the grill and (using the SAME TONGS!) grabbed COOKED chicken and put it exactly where the RAW chicken just was!!!!! Then again, using SAME tongs, grabbed more RAW chicken and put it on the grill!!!! There was some much back and forth after that I couldn't keep track and I walked away because he within seconds put that SAME cooked chicken (again no change of tongs!) into the hot table for serving the waiting line!! There was no way in hell i was chancing that! I am done with that place!!!!

How are food inspectors missing this???? They must be on their best behavior when they come or something!!

I already had a staple in my salad from them ages ago!! Like how are they open?? I had to walk away because I don't want to die!!!! They are going to kill someone someday! Holy cross...

Ordered through skip the dishes and was very disappointed in the flavor and consistency of the meal. I don't think this restaurant knows exactly what salt is however if they do they're hoarding it due to covid because they failed to put it on their food. The rice tasted like plain rice. The souvlaki was drier than the Sands of the Sahara even with the sauce on it. Nor was there any souvlaki seasoning of any kind that I could tell. I've eaten recently therefore I know my taste buds are not impaired.

The order was also missing items we had to consult with skip the dishes within the app in order to get 50% of the missing items refunded which was not nearly enough for the inconvenience.

If you like Greek food, don't depend on these guys...
