My recent trip to Cobs : I thought I'd take a trip to Cob's bread to see what all the hype was about and try some of those items: I purchased lemon blueberry scones, chocolate croissant, raspberry Danish, cinnamon bun, brioche buns, and a half baguette garlic something. My thoughts and observations after spending over $40: The buns were a little over baked , very dark tops .Not very brioche like but not terrible either. I would not buy them again. The garlic baguette was excellent. 3.The scones were to die for!!! Soft ,perfectly sweet. You can taste the lemon and blueberry flavours. A worth the cost purchase that I would definitely purchase again 4. The cinnamon bun was lacking cinnamon inside and it was mostly dry bread with a little streak of cinnamon paste inside . Softening it in the microwave for 5 secs helped but again I wouldn't purchase this again. Lacked flavour 5.The chocolate croissant, this was pretty good . Not sure I'd buy it again but it was not terrible. All in all I was very happy with the scones. The other choices were a big miss for me .Not worth the cost of each item in my opinion, except the scones. I'd give the scones 5 stars the rest...
Read moreVery disappointed. I went in to take advantage of an offer we received for a free 9 Grain Loaf with the purchase of 6 scones, but they were sold out of the 9 Grain Loaf. When I asked if they could substitute with the Whole Wheat loaf (which is the next most suitable replacement) and was told "No" and that the only other option was the High Fiber Loaf, which is a white bread. When I explained that I am diabetic and cannot eat white bread it did not make a difference. I appreciate the offer details, but it is not my fault that they sold out of the 9 Grain Loaf and I do not see any reason why they could not grant my very reasonable substitution request. The best part is that it was late in the day and they had many Whole Wheat loaves left and it was unlikely that they would sell through them all, but instead they chose to make a regular customer...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A SERVICE DOG. I was confronted by a very rude employee, with an Australian accent, who told me my dog was not allowed in the store. When I stopped to explain that she is a service dog, she just isn’t wearing a vest because she has a mobility harness on, and per the AODA laws she doesn’t have to have a vest, and I can show her my doctors note, as that is what is required by law. She went on to continue to tell me that my service dog was not allowed in the store and to “order my food and get out”. Very rude and unprofessional and illegal to deny a person with a disability access because of their...
