The past 3 times I have ordered take out from here, I've waited over 20 minutes each time. This most recent time, the food is cold. Cold wings. The box isn't even warm to the touch. Really disappointing as I enjoy the food here.
I also opted for kurbside pickup. After 20 minutes of being fed up, I went inside. No apology for it being late or anything. Wish I could take my tip back.
UPDATE (because I can't make a new one): I was contacted by the manager, super nice guy, gave us a credit, they redeemed themselves when I went to use the credit. Fast forward to tonight, I thought we'd order take out for my dad's birthday. I placed the order online for curb side pick up at 6:20pm. I got there a little early so I pressed the "I arrived" button in my email and got a text saying they let the kitchen know and to wait in my car. Great. 15 minutes goes by with no update. I see two girls just standing at the host station for 5 mins so I decided to go in. I said I'd been waiting for my order for 15 minutes, which was sitting RIGHT behind them. I said "it was for curb side pick up" and took it. All she said was "oh."
I work in a restaurant and I hate to be that rude customer but the service here for takeout is genuinely awful. If you can never actually have the food ready for the time the customer chose, don't offer that service. If I have to come in to get my order, don't offer curbside. Food was fine, not hot, but fine. Just really disappointed AGAIN but maybe that's my mistake. It'll be the last time I come here which is unfortunate as I'm a sucker for the...
Read moreManager needs customer service training. Dined inside, for lunch on a Wednesday at 230pm... the restaurant had 2 tables inside and 3 tables outside so not a very busy time for all the issues. We ordered a bottle of wine, and realized they gave us the to-go drink menu. When we noticed there was a second menu, we asked if we would be charged the higher price or the price on the menu we ordered from (and pointed to). The manager came over, not friendly and said "hi, um is there like something wrong, is there a problem here?" Like he didn't already know why he was coming over. Proceded to explain it was the take out menu we ordered from- we already knew that, which is why we asked about it, why would you give your dine in guests the take out drink menu and put it on top of the food menus? And he explained he couldnt discount alcohol - I thought but you could discount our food a little to make up for the difference. His sour approach was a huge turn off, didn't even want to talk to him after that so we didn't bother. Then our nachos came out, we ordered the full nachos and got the 1/2 nachos. Waitress was very polite and fixed it for us. However after the 2 mess ups on the only two items we ordered, the bill came and not a single discount. Not that I expected one after meeting the manager. Marketing team needs to separate the take out menu, and that manager needs customer service training. We tipped the waitress, because she was at least friendly and has to wear a mask, even though 2 mistakes were technically hers. Won't be back,...
Read moreI went to Kelsey's Georgetown on Saturday as I was nearby doing some errands. I figure I would get something for lunch as well as dinner as I sometimes do when I'm on the Rd for a bit. I went in to order as I was right there a petite young woman took my order after waiting for quite a bit. She was very polite I informed her I would wait at the entrance where the seats were. I waited for about 20 min watching patrons come in one by one some were impatient as there was quite a crowd. I went to the front desk again and waited for someone to acknowledge me. Eventually a young man with a slight accent came to ask me if he could help. I informed him I placed a order and wondered if it was ready. He brought back a bag a few minutes later the bag was open. I ordered a burger with fries roasted chicken mashed potatoes and broccoli as well as the great Chicken parmesan. Waste of my money. There was more broccoli than mashed potatoes the roast chicken was dry. The chicken parmesan was so burnt dry the cheese was nasty burnt the sauce on the spaghetti was little to none. And the fries after eating a few on the top and I saw the ones beneath it was as if they emptied the burnt fries from the frying basket in my serving. I would never serve this to not even my enimies. But thank you Georgetown Kelsey's. I wasn't going to show these pics but 1 of my bosses were angry and said these are the things that makes people think they can get away with stuff write a review and let them know this...
