New to Kelowna, I was actually excited to discover what appeared (at least online) to be a large, impressive IGA within 10 minutes of my new home. Unfortunately, what I instead discovered at this deceivingly modern-looking internet misrepresentation was in reality a comparatively small, horribly stocked grocery store with easily the poorest selection of any IGA (or any grocery store for that matter not located in a rural cottage town). Not only were the dry food shelves poorly stocked, but when I asked an employee in the "meat department" where I could find a simple piece of kelbassa sausage, I was led to a pathetic display containing almost exclusively dubious-looking, fatty "garlic sausages" where I discovered a pathetic, folded weiner-sized piece of kelbassa, the lone brand option available & when I asked where the deli counter was located, I was informed that the store didn't have one!
Obviously disappointed at the shrivelled excuse for a kelbassa sausage, I nevertheless put it in my cart as I was too pressed for time to visit another grocery store. When i got it home and removed the outer plastic, I discovered a frustrating piece of deli meat from which the thin inner plastic covering was all but impossible to remove as it was fully adhered to the sausage & embedded in the uniquely wrinkly surface. After picking the thin frustratingly adhered plastic (and attached sections of meat) off in tiny sections on order to expose something edible, ultimately consuming nearly as much plastic as meat, I gave up and threw the remaining hacked-up disaster in the garbage!
As far as the aisles of dry food were concerned, I've seen far better selection at a stop & shop gas station or a general store in a sparsely-populated rural hamlet!
So much potential, so little substance! (The staff was nice, though; small consolation given the substandard conditions in a disappointing establishment where their courteous service is wasted!)
I am never shopping at this IGA again!

Read moreI live in the area and shop there a at times. A couple of times, they’ve charge me more for items. Once they charged me $6 for a head of garlic, glad I looked at the receipt. I went back and the tag said $6/lb. They returned my money. Unfortunately, a few times I didn’t checked the receipt until I got home. Yesterday they charged me for carrots I didn’t buy. Saw it when I got home can’t go back to complain as I don’t have a way to prove I didn’t get carrots. Happened already too many times. Not shopping there...
Read moreWent to the deli at 8:00 pm June 11th. 3 people were behind the counter talking personal business while I stood in plain sight for several minutes until one of them finally came over. He had dark hair and glasses and continued to talk to his co-workers about personal business while serving me. Didn't ask me if I wanted anything else and didn't say another word to me. Just kept talking to his co-workers. I was the only one in the store. I...
