I'm kind of shocked this place has such a high review rating. Guess people don't know quality these days.
Upon arriving, I got to a baricaded door and had to wait on the street until it was my turn to pick up my food as their set up allows for only one customer at a time, unless your door dash then your free to use the front door.
I ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls, 1 chicken teriyaki and 1 unagi roll. I could barely distinguish between the different rolls as all the flavors were bland and tasted the same. The chicken teriyaki had no terriyaki sauce on it and at times I thought I was eating a dynamite roll, spicy tuna had no taste and there was no spicy component to it, the unagi again bland. The presentation was very poor and you could tell the ingredients were low quality and probably not fresh.
All in all pretty on bar with what you would get in a mall or a gas station. If your in Glenmore it has the convenience factor, I for one will spend the extra few minutes driving somewhere like blue tail or Momo because honestly the time I wasted waiting in a lineup on the street equates to the extra time it would take to drive somewhere that has some pride in the food it serves.
-- Side note the women who answered the phone was very hospitable and polite and took my order seamlessly only reason this place got a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will never order food from here again. Was told 30 minutes, which is longer than normal for sushi. Went in after 35 minutes and they told me it was going to be longer. I asked how much and she said she didn't have an answer for me. She said at least 20 minutes. So I walked away. The reality is they shouldn't have told us 30 minutes when it was going to be closer to an hour. So now we have wasted our time and still have no food. It's unfortunate because it is close to our house and convenient. No offer of any kind when I told her to cancel it and barely an apology. Pretty sad if you ask me.
I will drive to Ozeki's or Bluetail which are both cheaper and better and spend the extra couple...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHere's the situation: Are children under the age of 2 not permitted in restaurants now? I'm quite certain that if children were to scream at the top of their lungs and cry loudly, the parents would likely leave, as it could disturb other guest. However, if the children are merely laughing, being themselves, and enjoying their meal, is that really a problem? Could they possibly disrupt other diners? If the parents apologize to the servers because their children are behaving typically for their age, would it be appropriate to respond with, "If you can't control them, I would suggest a take out order." Shocking answer and such a racist. Like, how could you answer like that? NO HEART...
