One of the best Canadian Tire store that I have ever visited in Canada. The place is currently under renovation but there are clear signs that indicate where the store and the online order pickup place are. Everything is well designed and has customer service in mind. The online order pickup place is as I have stated, clearly market with large, easy-to-read overhead signs and is in a designated place separate from the store itself so you don't have to go through the store to pick up your online order and can just pick up the order and go if you would like. The order pickup place is enclosed with double-sealed automatic door so cold air is kept out in winter time. Inside, there are shopping carts provided for you for your convenience as well as a customer service kiosk there should you require any assistance. The online order pick up scanner is robust, easy to use and is fast. All in all, the well designed online order pickup place makes this Canadian Tire store in Kirkland the ideal pickup place for online orders.
The inside of this Canadian Tire store is even better. It's brightly lit, clean with wide aisles that are comfortable to walk through (please see photos). All of merchandises are neatly organized and filed on the shelves and unopened unlike some stores where all of the merchandises have all been opened and with items inside of them missing. The inventory of this store is clearly well managed and controlled. The merchandises are all also easy to find. Right at the front door when one walks in not hiding in some obscure location, there is a touch-screen merchandise directory system where you can search for the merchandise that you are looking for and the aisle information is clearly indicated to you so you won't have to flag down a store employee or try to blindly find it yourself like what you have to do in many stores.
And lastly the employees, when you really do need to flag them down to seek their help, they are polite, courteous and knowledge about the merchandise and the store itself and are able to give you the effective help that you need. I have visited them three times already and each time, I came away relieved that there is finally a store that I can rely on to buy the products and receive the help that I need when I need them. I hope they will...
Read moreI had an extraordinary experience at Canadian Tire, Kirkland in Montreal. Yesterday I had gone through a car wash on Rue St. Jean and by the time the car came out the battery was dead. I was in a panic because my family and I were heading to Toronto from Montreal today for a funeral. CAA was going to tow the car to wherever I needed for a new battery to be installed since they didn’t have one in stock to bring to me at the car wash. I stood in the parking lot waiting for the tow and called several service stations, Costco and Walmart. I was told either they didn’t have the battery I needed, their mechanic had gone for the evening and their garage is closed on Saturdays. Finally, I called Canadian Tire and spoke to customer service about my dilemma. I was directed to the General Manager Christopher Benoit who listened and helped me solve my problem so that we would have my car in time to leave for Toronto to arrive in time for the funeral . First he told me to hold while he confirmed with his service manager that the battery was in stock, then he arranged for my car to be the first car into the service bay on Saturday morning. He advised me where exactly the tow truck should place my car. He also advised the service manager to call me first thing in the morning with the diagnostic results. On Saturday at 8:55am we received the call that the diagnostic confirmed it was indeed a replacement battery that was needed and that the car would be ready to pick up shortly. When I arrived at 9:15 I was promptly greeted by the very friendly service advisor Farzin Lalehzer who was aware of the circumstances and was waiting for me with my key , the paperwork and a smile knowing what my stress level had been the day before. We are in the car now traveling to the funeral on time grateful for the exceptionally extraordinary service received. A very stressful situation became less so due to an individual who went more than an “extra mile” Thank you once again Christopher Benoit and team. Next time I will call...
Read moreVery reckless and dishonest, stay away from this garage!
I came here first time for tire change and alignment because of a promotion and since Costco doesn't do the alignment. I was thinking what could possibly go wrong for such a simple work? I was wrong!
They told me the stem from a TPMS was broken. As you can see from the image, it was deformed. The first guy at the counter told me it was like that when I brought my car in!!! The next guy admitted that, since they had to release the air, they used a tool to unscrew the stem, they forced it and it broke. Worse, the manager even blamed me because I didn't ask them (not to do it) at the first place!
They are very reckless and dishonest:
Since when you need to remove the stem just to release the air??? You can use anything, a needle, a screw, or even your finger! You only need to remove the stem when you service the TPMS which is not the case here. It may be quicker with your tool but if it doesn't come out, stop and ask your customer!
Compared to my experience at Costco: I was asked if I want to service the TPMS since one stem was hard to remove and if they force it, chance is it would break. The truth is they just unnecessarily and recklessly do it, and if it breaks, even better, you pay for it!
Now I will need to a new TPMS, and you can be assured that they won't touch my car again! Ever!
Update: adding a tool similar to what they use to remove the stem. Seriously thinking of going back to show the guys there how to deflate THEIR OWN cars using anything a needle, a stick, a screw or even better my...
